As if shrines to the almighty Bush weren't posted on here ad-nauseum.....blah,blah,blah....

Go slink off to a Bush-bashing thread, Doughty. You and the rest of your posse never have a positive thing to say about GWB and some of us are tired of it.

There's a thread running you'll feel right at home at, go moan over there.

I believe that if you'll read this thread, you will be able to see several places where I have said things that were in support of Bush. I make my criticisms on the merits and try to be fair when I do it. The only reason I am still on this thread is that I am trying to address people who have made comments to me.

Actually, Bush wouldn't get commented on in a negative fashion if he weren't so busy trying to destroy our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, as well as our Culture. However, you don't care about those things, after all, you'd rather just be happy that we have a "Republican" in the White House.

Is that Principled? Is that what is good for our Nation? Is that Constitutional, or do you not care?

I wonder if any of you actually understand the dire situation that our country is in, and how we have limited time if we are to put the brakes on the collision that is about to occur.

Culturally speaking, we are being invaded by hordes of illegal Mexicans, as well as numerous other nationalities moving in from the south. These are not Legal Residents, and the tide is so great that they will not assimilate, not to mention the fact that many resent our country.

Economically, our nation is in shambles, much to do with high taxation, government waste, unnecessary agencies, etc. It's so out of control that it's quite possible we'll be bankrupt within ten years. What about Social Security? How are we going to pay for that with a Boomer Generation getting ever-closer to retirement. Social Security ran afoul when the government started robbing the caufers, and now we're left with a form of socialism and taxation to deal with it. It's a pyramid scheme, and it will ultimately collapse. Some claim that this is why illegal immigration isn't dealt with seriously. However, is it worth the social services, the higher taxes, the more costs as opposed to benefits, a balkanized America, friction, chaos, more debt, etc.? The true solution would be less government through less spending. However, Washington is too stupid to think of that, for everyone has to protect their own little UnConstitutional alphabet agency, and they have the attorneys and special interest groups to represent them.

What about the fact that Bush caved on stem-cell research. I know, you claim that compromise was necessary, but on moral decisions such as this, no it is not.

What about his appointments of two homosexuals to his cabinet. One as an Aids Czar, and another as Ambassador to Canada?

What about CFR? I know, I know, you probably believe that it's part of W's plan. Who cares? The Constitution exists for a reason. It isn't designed to be toyed with, manipulated, etc. That is the work of a rabid Leftist. A "Conservative" should be more dignified. Furthermore, as whacked-out as the Supreme Court has been, with many of the justices ascribing to the secular humanist world view, there's a chance that this will not be thrown out. Even if it is, why take the chance? It's too risky, and it reflects a lack of principle.

What about Bush claiming that he will not let "his view" on abortion dictate whether an appointment to the supreme court will be Pro-Life or Pro-Infanticide? Is this a Conservative marker?

What about the massive federal control of education bill that Bush signed? What about the out-of-control federal spending (even without the war)?

Don't you see, our country is being ripped apart on the Spiritual, Economic, Cultural, Constitutional, and Governmental fronts (tyranny). George W. has helped contribute to the decline. Can't you see it? It's so obvious, yet you continue to talk about the "Good things he has done". Most of the "good that W. has done" is nothing more than inaction on a few extremely Socialist/Communist policies. That is, he's said no to them. That maintains the status quo, in the sense, that we don't move further into tyranny. However, most of what he has done and openly promoted is UnConstitutional (CFR, Education, Amnesty), or it is a severe lack of good judgement.

Bush is leaving the Conservatives who truly wanted to weed out the corruption. Yet, he's abandoning his base and is supporting Pro-Big Government, Pro-Left Wing, and Pro-Tyranny policies.

Again, why is it so hard to see?
