I think it would be nice to collect a list of all of the things President Bush has accomplished thus far in his term. In an effort to provide FAIR and BALANCED coverage to President Bush's administration, I thought interested Freepers could post accomplishments, both large and small, which they appreciate.
Please do not hesitate to list EO's, roll-backs of EO's, regulation changes with which you are familiar, etc.
All positive accomplishments are welcome. If you have negative comments, please post them on the other thread. Thank you.

With all due respect, I'd say 75% of the people on this forum show less reverence for God than you people do for Bush.I've seen less dislike for the Devil himself than the antipathy that the hardcore Bush-bashers show towards Bush.
Bush seems to be a love-him-or-hate-him kind of person, with middle ground not possible.

He has not splashed the oval office in man juice.
That's about it.

Apparently you missed this post, which was posted BEFORE mine (hence the fair and balanced comment):
The Official Bush Cave List
I thought, in an effort to avoid rancor, we could have two lists rather than arguing on Jhoffa's. I took to heart your comment that you didn't trash threads, which I am afraid I skirted awfully close to this morning on yours, and so I am trying to have a debate without any personal attacks.
I am providing the link here because there are apparently a lot of people who didn't see Jhoffa's post, and may wonder why I did this.
Thanks.

I had worse terms. I toned it down. :o)

Can what he did as governor count or is this strictly Presidential? My favorite thing Bush did was sign the Parental Notification Act, in the great state of Texas.
To: Lazamataz
I know there are worse terms, but Man Juice? You need to put something like that in an animated .gif with a 30 second warming, so someone (like me) can avoid coffee burns to the nasal passage...

I think your sarcasm on CFR is misdirected. The CFR portions that are constitutional (increasing the hared money limits and reducing the cost of paid media time) will mostly benefit Republicans and the American People and the rest (silencing special interests and banning speech) will be gone before they take effect. The Democrats erred when they accepted the idea of allowing portions of the bill to be seperated out and found unconstitutional.

That's just not true. There may be a core group of hardcore Bush-bashers out there, but there was a lengthy thread posted yesterday concerning Bush/CFR and there were PLENTY of FReepers who said that CFR was the last (not the first or only) straw for them. The question remains - where do supporters draw the line before they feel (or are allowed to feel) betrayed?
Ignore them, if you want. Deny they exist. Make excuses. Group them in with RINO's, RATS or whatever. But they're there and they (we) are not getting answers or wise counsel.

I think that's a good thing to know about, spookbrat. THanks!

You need to go to the link provided above. Your comments belong on that thread. Thank you for your time.

Big bump!

The most important accomplishment to me is the respect and dignity he has brought to the CinC.
My hubby and now my son(in basic) are PROUD to serve this man.
I have only two issues when I vote...military and abortion.
After 8 years of knowing you were held in contempt by your CinC, I can't tell you what it feels like now!
My 20 year old wanted to enlist after HS...I begged him not to....to wait and see who was elected in 2000, I couldn't bear to have algore or another clintonite his CinC.....it was bad enough that the rapist was my hubby's CinC
now, after reading all these threads and listening to the radio, it is so sad that some of Bush's supporters are about to desert him.....my hubby can retire anytime...my son can't...he will have 4 more years after 2004...God help him if a Rat is elected....

Good information. Thanks.
To: Miss Marple
Not a bad idea.
I like his overturning of the ergonomics rules.

Thank you for your comments. I think it helps to keep things in perspective, and this thread is my effort to get the debate to a more civil tone. I also believe he has done good things for the military, and if we can get the DEFENSE BILL passed, even more good things will come (like another pay raise).

Abortions have gone way down here (I think). It was a good thing. Not just to save the babies, but parents need to know when their own "babies" are having surgery for crying out loud.
To: mystery-ak
** it is so sad that some of Bush's supporters are about to desert him.**
Can we be certain they were even ever *for* him? :o/
