I think it would be nice to collect a list of all of the things President Bush has accomplished thus far in his term. In an effort to provide FAIR and BALANCED coverage to President Bush's administration, I thought interested Freepers could post accomplishments, both large and small, which they appreciate.
Please do not hesitate to list EO's, roll-backs of EO's, regulation changes with which you are familiar, etc.
All positive accomplishments are welcome. If you have negative comments, please post them on the other thread. Thank you.

I will start with a couple of big ones:
1. The tax cut
2. The missile defense shield

1. tax cut. He lowered rates to a level above those that his two predecessors admitted were mistakenly high. Big deal. He transferred $300 to each taxpayer, mostly from revenues taken from high earners, and sending it to low earners.

I will add the war on terror.

1. The 2-3% tax cut backloaded over ten years weighted toward net tax consumers at the expense of net tax payors, combined with the 5% increase in payroll withholding taxes (taxed twice--they're matched by your employer) and the largest budget ever submitted by a U.S. president--with an additional cabinet-level department for good measure.
2. What missile defense shield?
Lady, you are delusional.

Fighting the Kyoto treaty, his decision to not change the arsenic rulings, his decision on stem cell research.

How about his brilliant gambit of signing the CFR into law so that his friends in the NRA could immediately challenge it in court, maintaining his political capital while simultaneously watching this law declared unconstitutional once and for all by the courts.......Whew!

Ending the "most ethical Administration in the history of the Republic" by defeating the Vice Perpetrator of "one of America's greatest Presidents."

How can he maintain dignity when he has violated his oath of office. Where is the dignity in that?

Moving forward with a new relationship with Russia.
Supporting the Ohio partial birth abortion law in court through the DOJ.

As if shrines to the almighty Bush weren't posted on here ad-nauseum. Balance? With all due respect, I'd say 75% of the people on this forum show less reverence for God than you people do for Bush. I don't dislike either you or Bush, but there are times when I'd describe the support from some of Bush's supporters around here as approaching fanaticism.

*Telling the UN where to stick there global tax.
*Major shift in foreign aid policy - tying aid to reform, and distribution of funds by US and NOT UN.

How about his appointment of a conservative to the (un)Civil Rights Board?
Military pay increases. Changing the focus of the military. Appointing Sect. Rumsfeld.

He has kept his zipper zipped thus far.
He has brought a sense of dignity and respect back to the office.
