The Official Bush Accomplishment List
Miss Marple | March 27, 2002 | Miss Marple

Posted on 03/27/2002 9:22:46 AM PST by Miss Marple

I think it would be nice to collect a list of all of the things President Bush has accomplished thus far in his term. In an effort to provide FAIR and BALANCED coverage to President Bush's administration, I thought interested Freepers could post accomplishments, both large and small, which they appreciate.

Please do not hesitate to list EO's, roll-backs of EO's, regulation changes with which you are familiar, etc.

All positive accomplishments are welcome. If you have negative comments, please post them on the other thread. Thank you.

1.) In just one executive order managed to protect the FBI and the Clinton administration from revalations of wrong-doing that would damage national security.

2.) Appointed Mueller to FBI further protecting the American people from being damaged by the information concerning government corruption in the BCCI scandals.

Thanks GW,

Loopy--if thats not your real name, it should be--you can laugh all you want to.

My President is George W. Bush, and I'm proud of him.

Now, the President you would like to see in office is--let's see,... that would be President "Fat Chance" wouldn't it?

No, I think I'm on exactly the right thread.

Can you or I stand in front of the entire world, and commit a crime against every single citizen of the United States, without being arrested and imprisoned for it? No.
The only people who are capable of doing that are in Washington.

Defend him all you want to. It's a variation of Stockholm Syndrome. You just haven't come to grips with the idea yet that you and every other person in this country today became a crime victim. A crime was perpetrated against you, and you are defending the criminal who committed the crime.

The fact that he has you feeling like a good little soldier for defending him and denying his criminal culpability is quite an accomplishment on his part.

Today, I break all affiliation with the Republican party. I can no longer tell the difference between the fascists we ran out of Washington last November, and the fascists we replaced them with.

That's the only positive comment I had left. The others had already been enunciated. Maybe I could add repudiating Castro -- that hasn't been mentioned.

You're ruining the "tea and crumpet" crowd's bush lovefest. I didn't know how many good little socialists there were on FR until today.

More joke accomplishments:

. 1.Having a good amount of assurance that the President is no longer selling our secrets overseas to the highest bidder.

Well, that's an interesting one. What about all those Israeli students who've been about spying and who weren't prosecuted but, merely sent on their way home?

2. Having a President who tries to (do?) what he believes is right for the Country's long-term future, rather than one who ONLY does what he believes is right for himself.

Is this a subjective belief on your part or have you some evidence? Where is W's manifesto? Where has he set out what he beleives is right? I know he told George Will on Camera that he'd veto CFR because he believed it was the right thing to do. Does that count?

3. Having a president who saves our hard earned tax dollars by not shooting multi-million dollar missles at aspirin factories.

No he wastes our tax dollars in innumerable other ways. And BTW, he's blown up more than a few empty sites in Afghanistan.

4. Accomplished (and still maintains) an 80% approval rating in spite of the lamestraim media, and in spite of the demoflops in congress who try to bring the ratings down

He's got that rating because we had a national tragedy and that's it. If it weren't for that he'd be at 50% if that.

I'll accept the upholding of the Constitution. When he does that, drop me a note.

He is upholding the Constitution, or aren't you into that whole "seperation of powers" thingy that is spelled out so clearly in the Constitution.

If you are going to demand that our president uphold the sacred document, you might try reading it sometime.

The Constitution of the United States

Try reading Article 1, 2, and 3

My feelings exactly. Today, every man, woman, and child in this country became the victim of a crime committed against them by Congress and President Bush.
I'm completely disillusioned. I have a virtual shrine to the Bush family and the Republican party in my office. What for? How are they any different than the DemonRats?

Maybe I've just been going through life with blinders on. Maybe there never was any difference. For whatever reason, this single event today, when he signed CFR into law, knocked those blinders off. The lines of distinction have become blurred for me now.

Yesterday, I would have been able to debate at great lengths the virtues of the Republican party versus the DemonRat party, and the "moral high ground" dominated by the Republicans. Today, I honestly can't see a difference between the two parties.

I'd say a great accomplishment has been gathering men and woman of a variety of backgrounds in his administration.

The dems speak of diversity and a rainbow coalition, but Dubya actually accomplished it.

** it is so sad that some of Bush's supporters are about to desert him.**
Can we be certain they were even ever *for* him? :o/

It does make you want to go HMMM, doesn't it? Are the Brownies and Brigiadiers out in force these days? As I told one guy this morning, I'm not looking for philosophical purity with Pres. Bush. I just thank God every day that Algore is NOT our president! And those who can't see the difference between those two men need to have their eyes examined!

Buh bye. Get over yourself while you're gone.

This sort of rhetoric will not win any converts back to your party.

Today, I honestly can't see a difference between the two parties.

Buchanan stated, "The the differences between the two beltway parties are inconsequential."

As time goes by, this statement is becoming absolutely true.

Oh yes, I feel much more free now that the "Patriot" act is law; now that the Kennedy "Education" bill was signed; now that Bush has offered amnesty to illegal aliens; and now that Bush has signed into law a 60-day free-speech gag rule prior to elections.
