The Official Bush Accomplishment List
Miss Marple | March 27, 2002 | Miss Marple

Posted on 03/27/2002 9:22:46 AM PST by Miss Marple

I think it would be nice to collect a list of all of the things President Bush has accomplished thus far in his term. In an effort to provide FAIR and BALANCED coverage to President Bush's administration, I thought interested Freepers could post accomplishments, both large and small, which they appreciate.

Please do not hesitate to list EO's, roll-backs of EO's, regulation changes with which you are familiar, etc.

All positive accomplishments are welcome. If you have negative comments, please post them on the other thread. Thank you.

Well, I hope you find a candidate of your choice that will agree with everything you want him to do; I suggest you try the Last Supper for candidates.

Did you even read the post I responded to?
Fine!
That is hardly a question now is it? Or do some of us need to go back to grammer class?

If anything, this thread is certainly adding a lot of insight into the honesty and integrity of many people here on FR. Yours has just headed down the comode, not only because you facelessly are trying to disrupt the thread, but also the misleading nature of your post.

As for an agenda, I would hope that I did have a conservative agenda.

You do understand, don't you, that when you say things like "I did have a conservative agenda" that it implies that those of us who support Bush don't?

Just to add to some of the accomplishment list:

1. Having a good amount of assurance that the President is no longer selling our secrets overseas to the highest bidder.
2. Having a President who tries to what he believes is right for the Country's long-term future, rather than one who ONLY does what he believes is right for himself.
3. Having a president who saves our hard earned tax dollars by not shooting multi-million dollar missles at aspirin factories.
4. Accomplished (and still maintains) an 80% approval rating in spite of the lamestraim media, and in spite of the demoflops in congress who try to bring the ratings down<

"The President intends to nominate Kay Cole James to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management. She is presently a Senior Fellow and Director of The Citizenship Project at the Heritage Foundation and was Chairman of the National Gambling Impact Study Commission from 1997 to 1999. James was appointed by then-Governor George Allen of Virginia to be the Secretary of Health and Human Services in 1994 and was named as the Chairman of the Governor’s Empowerment Commission in 1994. She served as Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 1989 to 1990 and is a graduate of Hampton University."

A terrific appointment, confirmed by the Senate July 11, 2001.

So you have a problem with the war on terror??
I have a problem with BUSH'S war on terror.
What about those 2,000 + Americans MURDERED in Cold Blood???
One of my friends from college is one of those 2,000+, so you had better just rephrase or retract that statement!
Oh that is right .....it doesnt fit in your little world. Don't be spouting that garbage here..
And anything that doesn't fit into your agenda, is garbage?
Sorry, but I do not follow anyone or any agenda blindly. I prefer to think...more than I can say for some of the sheep on here.

This is laughable:

1. Defeated Albert Gore, Jr. and saved us from 12 onsecutive years of Presidential Barf-bags.

Barely. And in terms of saving us from barf bags, well, a well trained chimpanzee would be an improvement over Clinton.

2.Is restoring credibility to American military power-needed now more than ever.

How's he doing that? I keep reading that but I don't see it. You mean by ordering black berets? Or by sending in a whole division's worth or troops after the battle's over? You mean by allowing Afghan Proxies to fight a war that was our business? You mean by allowing Al Quaeda to regroup in Pakistan and pretending it's not happening?

3.Respects American soverignty, rejecting international treaties and courts which would destroy the same.

Respects American sovereignty? You mean by endorsing illegal immigration? You mean by continuing to allow our Southern Border to have the consistency of Swiss Cheese?

4.Committed to the appointment of conservative jurists for long-lasting impact on American law and culture.

We'll see about that. The only one who has come up was Pickering and he didn't even voice support of him until it was obvious the democrats were going to derail his nomination.

5. Is not beholden to the Clintonist special interest groups--homosexual special rights groups, abortion industry, femiNazis, teacher's union, NAALCP, Chicoms, and left-wing terrorists.

No, he's go his own special interest groups he's beholden to.

6.Is hated by the Left for all he stands for (and the Left is showing more political acumen than many on the Right, who seem determined to rush into quick and sure political defeat rather than engage in the long, difficult, but necessary fight for incremental victory.)

Just goes to show you how stupid the Left is. They have a pushover and they don't even know it.

Allowing the NRA to put it's name at the top of the legal challenge to the UNCONSTITUTIONAL CFR bill. My $3500 donation to NRA was obviously well spent this year.

§ 241. Conspiracy against rights If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any inhabitant of any State, Territory, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured - They shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results, they shall be subject to imprisonment for any term of years or for life.

Well. We need to arrest Congress and the President, then.

All would be an improvement over Clinton. That W is so, means nothing. Let him stand on his own.

"I may not agree with your being an Idiot, But I will defend to the death your right to exercise it."

Hey I think that the above quote from hobbes1 pretty much sums up my feelings about both your comments.

Miss Marple, I am so glad you started this list and I can see others here who feel the same way and get so tired of the Bush bashing that goes on here.

1. The tax cut

2. Bringing dignity to the White House

3. His leadership in the war on terror

4. Bringing Russia into our sphere, they should be a natural allie in the long run.

There are others but this list is pretty impressive to me.

Again thanks for starting this topic.
