President Bush held his fifth formal press conference today and played hardball with the press core and the Senate, especially concerning the Pickering appointment. Bush also hosted a few St. Patrick Day events today, including the New York Fire Department Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps. Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern was also in attendance, and presented President Bush with a basket of shamrocks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya.

Thank you for all the pics! ...and for the refuge from all the mud slinging toward my dear President in so many of the other threads.
This is a wonderful haven of history and goodness.
We appreciate your great daily gifts!

Well....I was going to say soft green eyes mark our President's face until I read baseballmom's post. He is just so unique, in so many ways, (like knocking this press conferance waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of the park), that it would just make sense for him to have green eyes. But alas, we have a personal report here from a FReeper so I guess we have to stand with her (and our First Lady) LOL!

Great thread!!!
Loved the press conferance. Our President fills us all with such confidence, pride and dedication to do better. He astounds me. His humor, courage, fervor, emotion, wit, expressions and intelligence seem to be expanding daily. Who'da thunk that was even possible....he has been so brilliant from the git-go!!!

Thanks for all you do with the pictures! I'm normally not on at night and get these at work where they download quicker. I'm surprised that AAAa'hole isn't here mouthing off.

Incredible variety of expressions on our President's face today: smiles, anger, determination, thoughtful, incredibly sad. He carries the burden of office with such grace. Thank you for reminding all of us nightly that we have a real leader whom we are proud to have at the helm. That is what struck me as I scrolled through the pictures tonight. It shows what a great man he is. You put it so well.

Ditto.
SOON, this may be the ONLY thread I read ... if all the disruptors continue to rant like a pack of mad dogs about issues which they don't seem to know the facts.

They said "Journeys with George" is playing at "film festivals" from San Francisco to New York City. If anyone gets any info on where and when precisely, please let us know.
It was fun, just relaxed George W. shooting the breeze and kidding around.
Like when he was questioning the film-maker about her get-together with the Newsweek guy the day before, and she said they were just discussing the issues. And George asked impishly, "And it was necessary to hold hands in order to discuss the issues?"

Isn't that the truth? Sheesh...I feel like I got lost and landed at DU. Boy, with friends like these, I'd say W doesn't need any enemies. Some people need to get a grip!

On the subject of the eye color! I thought we had settled on Blue! I am soooo confused aren't you? I remember someone who saw him in person up close said they were definately blue!!
Being a bit of Irish meself, I sure would have voted for the President to be in a traditional Irish costume!
Can you imagine the media's reaction to that? LOL!

If you promise not to hit me with a sign on Friday, I'll register my vote; Hazel just like my hubby. His eyes change color also according to what he is wearing and the lighting. When I met him (President Bush, that is), I made sure to look right into his eyes and they looked hazel to me.
To: NYC GOP Chick
Thank you for the vote! I always knew that I liked you.
To: patricia
I am with you Patricia! I have been staying off of here lately for the first time because I am so distressed about the bashing of the President.
The purpose of this forum is to promote our conservative men and women, not tear them apart.
There are many here who obviously do not really support conservatives and I suspect are really plants from the DNC!
I can always find a safe haven on Rintense's wonderful thread!
