Some wierdo in a German Army field jacket like garment, with U.S. Army corporal stripes came up to me, and asked why we were there today...

Didn't Mohamed Atta go to a bar in Florida a couple nights before 9/11 and brag about "a big event"? I'll bet those folks thought he was just some drunk guy.
Maybe its nothing, maybe he's a kook, but maybe...
You'll be kicking yourself if you dont act on your gut feeling and something does happen.

But then I realized that if I was reading a thread on September 10 I can guarantee you that on Sept 10, 2001, there were lots of threads that predicted things that have not and will not happen.

I can't help but think all the isolated incidents lately that have added up to nothing, actually add up to something. Like the Egyptians who weren't "used" to flying trying to open a window on a plane. I've never flown and I know better than that. And the confetti in the air vent. Excuse me but who in this day and time is going to get near an air vent with anything? And then there's the rumors of warnings here and there, like yours. I think there are those out there purposely "creating" these incidents, to keep us worried. I fear that soon they will no longer be "non-incidents".

The usenets were loaded with Oct 31 warnings. Halloween?
Who knows.. Now it's a few days before?
Ok, look.... The beat cops in NYC know damned near everyone
that lives on the streets. If they shrugged it off, after just losing many
of their own, I wouldn't worry about it. Hell, they're still eating
powdered donuts, and they don't even flinch.

I should buy another and ask where the old one went to. That sounds like the general categoty of FR's tin-foil threads:
The never-ending eight-ball chase ...

RaceBannon,
I would defenately drop a dime to the FBI on this weirdo. If I'm not mistaken, the World Series shifts back to NYC (Bronx) on Monday. The FBI can check this guy out and warn the Yankies security to be on the lookout for this guy or other suspicious activity (as if they weren't on alert anyway.)

"I can't help but be worried now. I keep thinking that it's the West Coast's turn. Many of the hijackers lived in Southern California, two lived in the town next to mine, La Mesa."
I can imagine. One of the guys that bombed the Trade Center the first time around lived in Arlington Texas, the town next to mine. Then there were the two guys that were found at the train station with box cutters, money and maps right after the trade center blew up. That was in Ft. Worth. Very close to me.
I worry and then again I don't worry. What can you do about it? If it's your time then it's your time. I just HOPE that if I get caught up in some kind of attack I will have my wits about me so I can help other people. I just keep my mind on that and it helps me not to look at it not in terms of myself being in danger but helping others out of danger. It keeps my mind off my own fright.

After Pearl Harbor there was a report to the FBI that a dog was at the beach barking in code. No joke. I hope they locked that dog up. My god, you'd think at least the canines would be loyal!

True. But, I have read other threads over the years that both RaceBannon and undergroundwarrior have been on. Race, by my experience is not a tinfoiler. He/she took the time to post this. It is obviously weighing on his/her mind. Sometimes (mom experience speaking here) you can learn more by listening to your
own reactions/feelings and following your own intuition.
Alot of things were/are predicted that have never come true. Prior to the ll1th of September nobody wondered why Middle Easterner men, in groups were paying cash (only) for flight lessons. That they were asking questions about crop dusting. That the same profile individuals would be getting Commercial Drivers Licenses. Etc., etc. That said, there is a reporting network provided by the FBI. If any of us encounter anything that 'spooks us' makes us wonder, we should use it.

If your so stupid as to think that those planes weren't weapons of war,you might as well join in the next peacenik rally!!

Would anybody with enough resorces or connections to pull-off any type of terrorist attack be running around telling strangers about it? You know, it seems to me that these guys do have a tendency to talk bit, just before they do something. They just can't help themselves. They are excited, feeling somewhat invulnerable and kind of cocky. Remember the behavior of the two guys in the Florida bar?
Was there anything cocky or excited about his behavior?

Wait until Monday, there will be a switch in attitudes, there will be a "pole shift"..people will change their minds about that" Might be referring to the World Series and his bet on the D-Backs.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself..
