Some wierdo in a German Army field jacket like garment, with U.S. Army corporal stripes came up to me, and asked why we were there today...

I explained that we were there to oppose the peace-NAZIS down at 41st street.

He looked at me and said, "Wait until Monday, there will be a switch in attitudes, there will be a "pole shift"..people will change their minds about that"

I didn't know what to think, he said it as if it was privelidged information of some sort that he was revealing to me, as if he knew there was some sort of incident going to happen on Monday, October 29.

I went to the cops there and told them what he said, and they dismissed it as a crank.

He did not look like some loser, not really, he was clean, adequately dressed, just a normal person.

5'10, Green German Army-type jacket, Jeans, about 45 to 50 years old, greying hair, almost shoulder length, last seen heading north on Broadway towards Times Square.

Freepers are famous for taking pictures at these events. Any crowd shots featuring this guy? I agree with PA Mom - phone the FBI tip line. Think how terrible you would feel if ten days from now this guy's picture shows up on TV as the perp of some big new terrorist attack.

I don't think any pics were taken. Incident took place approx. 3:15 P.M., most of us were gone for the day. I saw the guy walk north, stop by Race and start talking.

He was calm and appeared rather ordinary. Did not explain what he meant. My initial reaction was that he was some sort of military veteran and was disgusted. But, who knows???

While still fresh in your memory as well, write down everything you remember. His appearance, his gait. Was there anyone with him? Did anyone watch him approach Race? When Race calls the FBI, you should too. It might be nothing, but who knows. Did any of us ever think that the events of the 11th would have happened?

His statement could go either way, that people would be more for the war, or that people would be more for peace, but it hinged on Monday for some reason. I have no clue what it meant, but, that's what he said.
