This may be the most ironic thing about X42--as much as he craved the "job" (as he called it) of President he could never fully fill the OFFICE because he was forever focused on himself rather than the office. That is very very well put. Clintoon's goal was to be President for himself, not the country.
George W. Bush, as tonight should make perfectly clear, is President for the country, and the world should think itself fortunate.

Hugh Sidey, on Brian William's show said that it was the best Presidential speech he'd ever seen. He then went on for 20 minutes just absolutely gushing. He said that the Bush motto of "Honor, Decency, Country" really means something to these men. Sorry but I blew the motto, it's Honor,_____, Country. Can't remember the middle.

He is so pro-islamic, and against Israel that I can no longer stand it. It's not that he's pro-islamic as much as he dislikes the Arab Muslims less than he does the Jews. My guess is that in his mind, the Muslims aren't responsible for killing Jesus.

A liberal co-worker called me after the speech to confess that she had "voted for the wrong man." I hope that means she voted for AlGore and realizes her mistake, instead of, "I punched the wrong chad." :)

Your post was darn near as good as The President's speech. Bravo, sir!

"On ABC Jennings brought on the President of Brown University asked her how students would react"
How utterly ridiculous to take the reaction of leftist hippie students as having any significance. Maybe Ramsey Clark wasn't available tonite.

He was really bowled over. He said that Bush said everything that needed to be said, and he couldn't think of a thing he had left out. I can.
As a united nation he could have mentioned that pursuant to an executive order, PC is suspended indefinitely and Americans anywhere are free to express their patriotism by wearing or displaying the flag any way they see fit.
And that the safety of the citizens is more important than stressing over "hurting the feelings" of foreigners.

Mary Landreau was on with Matthews. She said while there would be eventual differences of opinion over procedures, there was total agreement on the the President's plan. She was one of the group of 40 in NYC today - remarked several times about the devastation. She was pretty good, and as I've noticed with so many others who have been to 'Ground Zero', she looked a little shaken (maybe even stirred!).

Woodruff sure made a fool of herself! She's still smarting from her interview with Tom Clancy last week when he told her CNN, as a leader in the liberal news media, was responsible for the destruction of the intelligence community.
I saw that interview also - Clancy is great - wasn't he on O'Reilly recently? He takes no prisoners and doesn't put up with or dish out any BULLS**T!
Happened to catch Brian Williams with Chuck Schumer after speech and Chuckie couldn't say enough good things about the President, his speech and what he was doing for NY!! IT WAS AMAZING and appeared to be very genuine.

Amazing about Dan Rather. Could the disaster actually have convinced him that he has been wrong all this time? Maybe. Could be the ratings since Fox and all others began kicking his butt....
He does look like a broken man. All joking aside, hope he is well and healthy. His look concerned me tonight.

"I'm glad someone else heard Rather say this. I thought I was hallucinating. Thank God for GWB - the right man for the time."
Someone please tell me if I'm hallucinating about the quotes above. Did I write that in jest or did it really happen? I seldom watch Damn Blather and wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. Speaking of throw, if he really did say that he is either trying to throw the right-wing off his case or relishing that Pencildick Jennings is now the #1 @$$hole and laughingstock of the media.

I saw Clancy with O'reilly on Fox.....he was impressive. I thought the presidents speech was one of the best I have ever heard......straight from the heart. I agree with some post above "thank God that he is in charge"!

"RR could not have done better."Now you're pushing it. RR is the model and the architect of this great administration that will straighten out the leftist twists that have brought us to this point.

By Dan, do you mean the TV show personality, Dan Rather?Oh, that Dan, the one that reminds you of Ted Baxter, the news anchor on the Mary Tyler Moore TV show.

When did this happen? I missed that statement.
