Any idea how the military is going to intercept email messages and delete sensitive information? In WW2 words and lines were blacked out before being mailed to the U.S....wonder how that can be done with our new 'information age'.
Thank you for serving our country.
I heard this as well and am thrilled to know our current administration has the maturity in such a matter.
I trust our military folks will honor this by not disclosing troop movement and location and intent, via email to their loved ones. In WW2 the military was able to block out sensitive information in letters home...now with the 'information age' it may be a bit more difficult. Any thoughts on this?
Here is a good graphic we need to use -
GET THE PICTURE?!
This still applies!
Concerning military information, I have made two posts and will make others, concerning the strategy and tactics of this latest declared war by the United States against foreign enemies. I stress that NOTHING I say comes in any way from military or confidential sources.
I wrote my latest column Thursday night from Las Vegas, where my wife and I had gone on our honeymoon. I had just watched 20 hours of largely incompetent reporting by the national press. The facts of the attacks, who was involved, how they prepared, who was killed, who is missing -- all these were reported correctly. But on the subjects of what it means that we now have declared war, the legal ramifications, the steps that can be taken now including assassination (if ordered by the President), are totally beyond the bumblers in the press. Sam Donaldson was hardly alone, but was a shining example of incompetence on Sunday on these larger subjects.
I feel confident in my analysis made Thursday, as many elements of it were repeated on air over the weekend by Dr. Kissinger and other experts. I assure you that NOTHING I post on FreeRepublic will come from any military source whatsoever. So please do not take down my posts because they might seem to come from a forebidden source.
I have also written a piece on "The Law of War" which will go up in about two days. It is probably too dry for FReepers, so I will not post it here.
What I said to all the airline, security and law eforcement personnel we saw in the airports of Las Vegas and Atlanta, yesterday, I also say with equal feeling to you, JimRob: "Thank you for being there."

Jim, thanks! Again your wisdom and insight and ability to see the really big picture is right on target!
There is no room for the professional 24/7 hate GW crowd and their mantras of hate to him and America if it does not meet their sick standards!
The pro druggies are another worthless group of posters. We have had the worse attack on America since 1812, and these druggies were out pushing their pro drug and anti America Mantras. I was on vacation and cut it short to come home, and I could not believe the waste of your great web site with the worn out mantras from the pro druggies! No real concern about the destruction of over 5,000 innocent Americans, just their pro drug mantras of hate!
Thanks again Jim for your gift to America! No real conservative wants to be the leak that causes harm to our service people! All are at risk as per the USS Cole incident, and we must not allow a single byte of data to appear that could harm any service person!
