Socialist LA mayoral candidate Nithya Raman is getting hammered online after appearing visibly rattled by a staged homeless encampment protest outside her own home.
“I’m glad my kids didn’t have to see that,” Raman told comedian Adam Conover on his podcast released Wednesday before adding, “I thought this campaign was going to be about bike lanes and transportation.”
Raman was referring to a staged Memorial Day protest outside Raman’s Silver Lake-area home. Footage from the stunt shows homeless people climbing out of tents, staging an open-air barbecue and one individual walking around carrying a bucket as neighbors recorded the scene.

when your identity is completely wrapped up in standing on the moral high-ground and speaking truth to power - you likely will go ballistic when someone turns the table on you
Its ironic, she screams about how her children should NOT be subjected to that, to seeing hobos outside her home yet she has NO issue with crackheads shooting up meth outside OUR HOMES and schools
The incumbent is preferable to her.
“I thought this campaign was going to be about bike lanes and transportation.”
The 19th Amendment was a horrible mistake.
L
The 17th was worse, but — yeah.
““I thought this campaign was going to be about bike lanes and transportation.” That’s pretty important stuff Nythya. How is that high speed train project going out there?
hypocrisy
thy name is rahman
… “ one individual walking around carrying a bucket “ …
Hey this homeless guy is potty trained !
17th is bad but 19th signs of being fatal to the Republic..
Los Angeles has devolved into a third world hell hole of financial ruin and depravity. And she thought “this campaign was going to be about bike lanes and transportation.”
Bull Cheese.
“this campaign was going to be about bike lanes and transportation.”
That’s mighty white of her.
These weirdos are her prime constituents. Her voting block. She should have grabbed a bucket and joined the barbecue.
“I thought this campaign was going to be about bike lanes...”
Has GOT to be satire.
That applies to all areasLed & controlled by Democrats. It’s not limited to just L.A.
The 16th and 18th were also idiotic.
I wonder whether things would have ever become this bad had the 17th not been Ratified. The destruction of the bicameral tension between the concerns of The People popularly in The House and the interests of the States severally in The Senate has likely had foundation-level repercussions of a subterranean nature that makes them extremely difficult to suss out and make an accounting of.
Absent that destruction, the impact of the 19th would have been throttled in that harridans and harpies would not have been so soon electing — nor becoming — Senators.
If the 19th was a Bridge Too Far, the 17th was the approach that carried us onto it.
If we want reform it’s not Amendments that need overturning so much as its bad Supreme Court Rulings.
Helvering v. Davis (1937) is likely the great-granddaddy of them all in that it flipped the crucial language of General Welfare Clause of The Constitution such that the clause no longer served to limit Congress to addressing only what was explicitly allowed, but loosed that infernal body to address anything and everything that wasn’t explicitly proscribed.
It made a literal end to Federalism.
That there’s any semblance of it remaining is merely the twitching of the last failing cells of the neuromuscular system of the dead corpse still trying to soldier on in the face of the inevitable.
The American Body Politic, as The Framers birthed it, is assuming room temperature.
Repeal all the bad Amendments you want, but if The Bad Supremes don’t get overturned, there’s no getting America back.
No More Dots !
