Former US attorney general Pam Bondi testifies in congressional Epstein probe

Former US Attorney General Pam Bondi is appearing in front of a congressional panel probing convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Bondi, who was removed from her post as America's top law enforcement officer by US President Donald Trump in April, will testify on the US Justice Department's handling of its release of the Epstein files.

The testimony in Washington DC is taking place behind closed doors, but transcripts or video might be released at a later time.

Bondi was formally summoned by the House Oversight Committee in March, just before Trump announced her ouster as his administration's top prosecutor.

In opening remarks to the committee, Bondi said she was "proud" of the department's release of documents related to the convicted sex offender, for which she has been widely criticised.

~snip~

In February 2025, Bondi declared during a Fox News interview that she had a list of Epstein's high-profile clients "sitting on my desk right now", only to have the justice department walk back the statement that July when it said there was no "client list" and that Bondi had meant the overall case file was on her desk.

While her tenure as the country's top law enforcement official was dogged by the Epstein files, Bondi also came under fire by Democrats for weaponising the justice department after Trump called on her to more aggressively investigate his political adversaries.

She was replaced as AG on an interim basis by Trump's personal lawyer Todd Blanche.

Will she lie under oath? Will she truthfully explain why she lied previously when she said she would release the Epstein files?

Whatever. She better expect some tough tough questions.

She was a very bad choice to begin with.

I wish Trump had learned from his past administration mistakes.

Trump doesn’t have much to choose from.

People who work for Trump get death threats.

Not sure if she was intentionally stonewalling or if she was just not competent enough for the job?

I wish her well.

She was a very bad choice to begin with.

And she was the best nomination that Congress would approve. Anybody better got a decisive "NO" vote from the Senators.

And Thune blocked any recess appointments by President Trump.

Bondi wasn't totally useless. She did force dozens of Obama and Biden holdovers to resign from DOJ. Those people were all sabotaging every Trump policy they could reach.

I can only hope her successor will be allowed to do better.

High-level indictments, arrests, prosecutions, convictions, jail time. That is what "better" means.

She was intentionally stonewalling.

Pam Bondi defied a bill passed 419 to 1 in the House and 99 to 0 in the Senate and SIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT and just said, NOPE I'm not going to release the documents.

That was the stupidest thing on earth. If I were her, I would’ve released every single solitary file I had perhaps lining through the victims but otherwise I’d release every page I don’t care if it’s 5 million or 25 million release it all and have this story done. it would’ve been forgotten in three days, had she done that.

“Not sure if she was intentionally stonewalling or if she was just not competent enough for the job?”

If I had to make a ‘guess’ based upon information available, it would be intentionally stonewalling, incompetence or distraction, and subversion by employees of the DOJ, and threats from powerful ‘intelligence’ agencies. Yes, I mean all four are probably in play here.

The question is really why? Specifically, why do old Obama and Biden people subvert information from the AG? Why do they ‘distract’ her to a point where she couldn’t get to to the information in a timely fashion? Why did she stonewall and completely edit the information that was finally released so that it looks like they are protecting the guilty?

What I believe and why. The democrats made up, from whole cloth, scandal after scandal and claim about Trump. If they had solid evidence of a link with Epstein and abuse they would have long ago led with that. Epstein’s ability to dodge the DOJ from 2008-2016 could have only been by the hand of Obama. Therefore, whomever was involved with Epstein had some control over then POTUS Obama. Third, the likelihood, based upon evidence, is that Epstein was likely ‘associated’ with a domestic three letter agency and potentially illegal operations on US soil. They worked in conjunction with another ‘intelligence’ agency possibly from Israel. Obama must have been aware of the ‘intelligence’ portion and that explains the ‘high up’ demands that he not be stopped when someone turned Epstein in (Trump?). Bondi took the ‘heat’ for the fiasco, but did no out the intelligence portions.

Kathryn Ruemmler, Obama's White House Counsel, was close friends with Epstein.
Ruemmler emailed him over 11,500 times and called him Uncle Jeffrey.

If the issue was important then congress wouldn’t have voted for it.

She set the stage for the wins, she killed it @ the SC, she did as she was bid by the boss. Great employee for the US people.

How about just letting the facts out that everyone understands and knows. Epstein was working for Israeli Masada and had connections to the CIA, MI-6 and other intelligence agencies. That Deep State of Multiple nations connection is what is complicating the full and truthful release of documents.

Personally, I don't care about shielding Deep State members who engaged in underage sex trafficking. Let them all go to jail.
