Ever since the Never Trumpers left the Republican Party and rushed into the arms, politically and financially, of the Democrats, it's been pretty clear that all the "conserving conservatism" talk was a smokescreen. They wanted to run the Republican Party, and when they were rebuffed, they exited to grift off the Democrats.
I wrote about Jeb!'s former communications director now embracing Hasan Piker and Nick Fuentes because he wants to preserve "democracy" against Donald Trump, and we all know that David French, who ran into the arms of The New York Times, argued that the best way to fight abortions was to vote for abortion-until-birth Kamala Harris. Bill Kristol...enough said about him. And the Lincoln Project? They are more hateful toward Republicans than Jay Jones.
Trump managed to clear out a lot of the deadwood grifters in the Republican Party, and he appears to be doing much the same to the rabid antisemites who had felt they could remain Republicans while slandering Jews.
A year ago, progressive Jews were arguing that the Democrats and the Republicans both had antisemitic factions in response to complaints about left-antisemitism.
Now, Tucker, Fuentes and Candace have all largely left the GOP because the Republican establishment shunned them, , while the Democrats are running Senate candidates with Nazi tattoos.

Now, Tucker, Fuentes and Candace have all largely left the GOP because the Republican establishment shunned them, while the Democrats are running Senate candidates with Nazi tattoos.
Nick Fuentes confirms he is a now a moderate Democrat, calls for President Trump to be impeached, and wants the GOP to be destroyed.
Fuentes has been attacking Trump since 2016 and has admitted he never cared about immigration, and his sole litmus test is hatred of Israel.
Antisemites have not been welcome in the Republican Party for decades, but there was always a faction of underground antisemites who exist across the political spectrum, and it burst onto the scene after October 7th, 2023. Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens have led the charge, and some other "influencers" joined them in loudly denouncing not just Israel, but Jews in general.

It's hard to say which of what James Lindsey calls the "woke right" is the most hateful to Jews, but Tucker certainly has the most cultural reach among them. Republicans have been slowly, then quickly, backing away from Tucker ever since his bizarre appreciation for Stalin's Moscow subways and Russia's grocery stores, but it was when he became obsessed with Israel and started spewing insane nonsense about weird mystical evils and Trump potentially being the Antichrist that the last Republican holdouts gave up on him.

NYT: You said, "Here's a leader mocking the Gods of his ancestors, mocking the God of Gods, and exalting himself above them. Could this be the Antichrist?"

Tucker is suddenly a fan of Sharia law and argues that Israel threatens to kill American politicians if they deviate from their support for the Jewish state. Candace accuses Jews of the ritual sacrifice of Christian children. Nick Fuentes has professed his admiration of Hitler.
These "influencers" have been kicked out of the Republican Party in all but name, so they are following the Never Trumpers into the arms of Democrats, who are in the midst of a love affair with antisemites. Tim Miller has praised Nick Fuentes, Marjorie Taylor Greene is now a fixture on left-wing TV, and has even gotten praise from Democrats who used to excoriate her on the floor of the House.
I have yet to see the Democrats return the overtures from Tucker and Candace, but there is still plenty of time. Both are reaching out to heal the breach between themselves and the Democrats.
Their hope is to become the Pied Pipers of the MAGA faithful, but the evidence says that they may soon go the way of the Never Trumpers.

These people were never conservatives. They started out as communists, and used the communist playbook: Infiltrate the Republican Party, then leave. Thinking unsuspecting, real republicans will follow.
