DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran fired on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz and seized two of them on Wednesday, intensifying its assault on shipping in the key waterway a day after U.S. President Donald Trump extended a ceasefire while maintaining an American blockade of Iranian ports.
Iranian media said the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard was bringing the two ships to Iran after seizing them in the strait, through which 20% of the world's oil passes in peacetime. The standoff over Iran's closure of the strait and the U.S. blockade raised doubts about when or if talks would resume to end the crisis.
The conflict has already sent gas prices skyrocketing far beyond the region and raised the cost of food and a wide array of other products. The longer the strait remains closed, the more severe and widespread the effects will be — and the longer it will take the economy to bounce back.

Their reportage is designed to deceive. They can mischaracterize the method of blockade transit (the ships could have been released), they can "miscount" the number of vessels involved, or they can fail to mention the qualifier "Iran Says..." prefacing the statement.
Or they could outright lie.
Meanwhile Iran even parades their missiles in the open...

Did you ever consider that maybe he is just taking this "cease fire" to repair, replace, replenish his assault forces while dealing covertly with forces within Iran to defeat the IRGC?

Yes. Both are valid points and hard to miss by anyone paying attention.
Trump is not a one dimensional President. More complex. He is not afraid to continue to wipe out Iran if that’s what it takes but prefers peace and diplomacy/deal making. Carrot and stick.

He’s obviously afraid to finish the job.
They are also operating under the same playbook that Vietnam employed, creating diivision between the citizens & the government, as well, over the opposing factions of those who trash this conflict, and those who support the effort to rid this world of evil, iinstead of allowing it to continually grow exponentially by ignoring it, and leaving it for someone else to take care of.
Iran has been allowed to act with impunity, because no leaders are willing to take them on. That only emboldens them even more.
As the time-tested saying goes; "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing".
But as we see, the majority are not good & perhaps not evil either, but are in reality, indiffernt to good & evil. They say; it's not my fight. Which is why we are where we are currently.
That is why we are where we are today. I for one would prefer that we take care of it while we still can, and not subject our children & loved oenes to deal with the consequences, that are guaranteed to be extremely unpleasant.
Don't believe me, believe those who are living under it currently. Their voices are trying to be heard.
