At least three homeless New Yorkers were found dead in freezing temperatures Saturday morning after Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul rebuffed a federal assistance offer from the Trump administration.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem reached out to New York ahead of the major winter storm sweeping the country. Hochul responded on X by demanding immigration enforcement changes as a condition for accepting help.
“Secretary Noem offered assistance to New York ahead of the impending snowstorm,” Hochul wrote on X. “I shared that the fastest way to help is for ICE to back off so people feel safe accessing warming centers, shelters, hospitals, and houses of worship.”
Hours later, authorities discovered three bodies across New York City as temperatures plunged to 10 degrees overnight, according to the New York Post. A 67-year-old man was found outside on 3rd Avenue in Murray Hill around 7:45 a.m. A 64-year-old woman was discovered in Canarsie, Brooklyn, at 9:25 a.m. A man in his 30s was located on Warren Street in Cobble Hill around the same time.

The only thing good that I can say about this idiot is that she hasn’t killed as many people as Cuomo did.
I’m not sure federal assistance would have saved those lives, but Hochul’s refusal does show where her priorities lie, and public safety is low on that list.
Hochul should cooperate with the fedeal administration to accept help, but the brutal reality is that homeless people die in the cold in New York and other cities every winter. Some are addicts, some are mentally ill. Many of them refuse to go to a shelter. Service organizatoins try to give warm coats and blankets to those who still are on the street but they don't find everyone. These people didn't die because or Noem or Hochul.
So Hochul is now tied w/Walz for death by democrat petulance.
Collectivism isn’t as warm as promised.

During COVID President Trump sent a hospital ship but NY refused to make use of it and allowed people to die in droves.
Why aren’t they going to investigate Hochul? I don’t see any difference between this and the Pretti Good shootings. This was a triple murder.

This reminds me of an interview of Charlie Kirk I watched. The reporter asked why he didnt give more of his money to help homeless people. Musk replied because homelessness isn’t a money problem; it it almost exclusively a problem of memtal illness, substance abuse/addiction, or some combination of both conditions. He indicated he would support mental asylums and mandated addiction treatment for the needy, over leaving mentally ill and addicted people to die under overpasses or in snowbanks, etc.
What a horrible way to die.
