Too Many Republicans are capitulating in the wake of Charlie Kirk

It has been said the loser contributes as much to the outcome of a battle as the victor.

Insofar as the clinical and brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk is concerned, the Republican Party has too many members who are ensuring another historic loss (and progressives another win) in coming elections.

Surely there could be Republican consensus.

The victim was truly innocent, the killer and the progressive ideology that drove him to murder truly evil.

And yet, to the eternal and everlasting shame of many in the Republican Party, we hear calls not of anger or outrage, but of “moderation” and “civility.” This is how the Republican Party blows its clarion call of surrender.

As an emblematic example of Republican learned helplessness, watch NBC’s recent interview of Utah’s Republican governor (Spencer J. Cox) by the network’s resident progressive propagandist, Kristin Welker.

Cox struck a conciliatory tone early on, something Welker recognized and warmly encouraged.

Cox spoke in vague, clinical terms about Kirk’s assassination, the unfolding investigation and, indeed, he seemed more concerned about reassuring the concerned-looking Welker than he was about the murder of Charlie Kirk.

When Welker asked about the killer’s motive, Cox was quite equivocal in his statements, saying the killer came from a “conservative family” after which he apologetically hedged by stating the killer’s ideology was “different” from that of his family’s.

Cox spoke in vague terms about Kirk’s “death” (when he should have used the term “murder”), his tone was measured and agreeable as he elucidated on the role social media plays in society, the need for proper sleep and exercise, among other blandly apolitical observations.

FWIW, Charlie Kirk had previously called for Spencer Cox to be expelled from the Republican Party. Cox is fully bought and owned by the tranny-medical-pharmaceutical industrial complex.

The author misses the point entirely - Charlie Kirk was 100% ability “civility”. He was 100% about CIVIL discourse and he took his message into the Lion’s Den of Academia, civilly facing down the students and professors who disagreed with him.

GOP politicians are not calling for “surrender” when they honor and want to emulate Charlie Kirk’s message - with true freedom of speech permitted civilly, we can win on the arguments. We don’t have to become an angry mob like the Left.

Cox also, early on, made a complaint about guns.

But if they eliminated guns would the doxing stop? Would the vandalism, car-keying, personal threats to conservatives (and their families) boycotting businesses, intimidation social ostracizations and SWATing stop?

The main problem isn’t guns.

The one thing I never hear these people say is that in the face of an enemy that wants you dead open dialogue can only take place when the other side realizes that violence will be vested upon them if they choose violence over dialogue.

Incitement to violence and defamation has never been “free speech”.

There needs to be a reckoning from voters with the /Democrat leadership. They created this with their lying reckless “threat to Democracy, fascists, Nazi, racists” campaign tactics. Except for Fetterman in PA every single Democrat from Biden down spewed these lies.

It not a Christian value to appease evil. We are called on to confront it

There has been ZERO “angry mob” behavior on the right this week. To suggest that there is some sort of “moral equivalence” between the two side is childish and insulting.

The response needs to be measured if we are to maintain the civility we as a nation are set up to live.

The measurement must be harsh and effective, as in documenting all who celebrate Kirk’s murder and bringing it up to their shame without ceasing unless or until they repent. Never allow them to run for public office or shape public policy. Treat them as absent from participation in the citizenry. Cane them summarily if they get violent. RICO the funders and organizers.

Academia depends on federal funds. Obviously, we need to stop funding leftist indoctrination centers. States are not going to want to subsidize all that left-wing crap except in states like Massachusetts and California.

They are Republicans. What else do you expect them to do? If it was not for Republicans, the Democrats would have been gone 20 years ago. Time after, time,, after time, after time, after time Republicans have snatched defeat out the jaws of victory. I see no reason for this trend not to continue after viewing the Republican Leadership. President Trump tried to make winners out of them and they attack and despise him more than they do the Democrats. Other Republicans tried to change them and they have gotten rid of them. Some things are just not meant to be. And making anything but Democrat ass kissers and lickers of the Old Guard Republicans is one of them. They can’t wait until Trump’s time in Office is up so that they can return to doing best.

The 'Republicans' aren't snatching defeat...they are not a different party. They are the same party, they're helping their comrades when they 'reach across the aisle'. They're not reaching across the aisle, they're reaching under the same side of the table.

You have two groups in this nation, those who are in favor of liberty and restoration of the Republic, presently championed by Trump, and those who are opposed to the destruction of their leftist global socialism plan.

So, there are two parties...just not the ones we've all been taught.
