A former member of the legendary singing group the Platters has been missing for four days after getting a subway in Brooklyn, according to cops and her family, who warn that she has dementia and could be confused.

Sandra Hall, 80, went missing around 4 p.m. Friday after boarding a subway at Atlantic Avenue near the Barclays Center and Atlantic Terminal Mall, according to the NYPD and her family.

“Sandra is more than just our mother; she is a warm, vibrant woman who once brought joy to audiences as part of the Platters,” said her daughter, Star DaSilva. “We just want to bring her home safely.”

The former singer, who lives in Flatbush, has dementia and can get confused and disoriented, according to her family.

Her family is following up on a tip that she might have been spotted in the Bronx.

“It checks out because she hopped on the 2 train going Uptown,” her daughter wrote on Facebook. “We contacted the local precinct and now waiting for word. The person with the tip provided an accurate description so I’m feeling confident about it.”

Hall is described as around 5 feet 3 and was last seen wearing gray pants, white sneakers and a pink shirt over a white long-sleeve shirt, according to police.

The Platters were first formed in 1952 and had a number of hits over the next decade, including “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” “Only You” and “The Great Pretender.”

Not good. She would be easy prey for the more evil elements.

Sandra Hall singing with The Platters

I pray that she is alright, and will soon be retuned to her family.

That is Zola Taylor in the picture. She was the original female singer in the group during their heyday. Always one of my favorites.

Indeed. She probably needs a care giver and supervision. She can’t wander about and board transit on her own.

She might have had a caregiver. People with Alzheimers can be like toddlers. Turn your attention away for a minute and they are gone.

4 days lost in a city is a very bad sign. I hope a miracle happens.

I wonder if a bracelet that has a AirTag attached to it would work for dementia patients.

I would think so ... so long as she, or, SOMEONE doesn’t remove it.

Maybe hide it in their shoe, something similar.

She’s led an interesting life. Like so many black musicians, she began by singing in church at age 4. From Wikipedia: By the late 1960s, Hall had trained as a nurse, supplementing her income by working variously as a singer, go-go dancer and stripper. She also raised her daughter during this time. She continued singing in a semi-professional vein, while working full-time as a nurse. She developed her stage act to include a risque repertoire which was ripe with innuendo. Her better known songs included “Big Long Slidin’ Thing,” “One Drop Will Do You,” and “Pump Up Your Love.”

Man, those guys were good! Especially their male tenor lead. They brought back some great big-band songs from the 30s/40s.
