The White House appeared to respond to rumors that either President Donald Trump's Attorney General Pam Bondi or FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino was out following the Department of Justice's announcement about no Epstein "client list."
"President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims," a statement on Friday from White House principal deputy press secretary Harrison Fields read, per Semifor White House Correspondent Shelby Talcott.
White House statement on today’s FBI/DOJ Epstein news cycle:
“President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims. This work is being carried out…— Shelby Talcott (@ShelbyTalcott) July 11, 2025
"This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity," the statement added. "Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all."
The post followed one from The Daily Wire's White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan, who wrote on X, "BREAKING: Source close to Dan Bongino tells me it's either him or Pam Bondi, and that he won't stay at FBI if she stays at DOJ."
A second post read, "Confirming this from @ShelbyTalcott, per source close to Bongino: 'Bongino, in particular, one source said, is frustrated that the DOJ, at the start of this week, declared the Epstein case effectively closed and determined that the accused sex trafficker died by suicide while awaiting trial, with few further details shared. He wants more documents unsealed, the source added."

"MORE: Source close to DOJ says [FBI Director] Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he'd consider leaving if Bongino leaves. Also that, there are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn't released," a third post read.
Olohan also posted the WH statement Friday and wrote on X that "NEW: Source close to DOJ leadership tells me 'Deputy Attorney General Blanche, Kash Patel, and Dan Bongino started drafting the released [Epstein] memo in early July and worked on it through July 4 weekend. After providing some edits, Kash and Dan signed off on the strategy and contents. Director Patel wrote that the memo was 'good with FBI."

As RedState reported earlier this week, the host of the Sirius XM "The Megyn Kelly Show" podcast broke down why she thinks Bondi's "days are numbered" following the DOJ announcement that no Epstein client list exists and that he committed suicide in 2019.
Megyn Kelly Breaks Down Why She Thinks Pam Bondi's' Days Are Numbered'
The podcast host and her guests discussed Bondi's past messaging on Epstein compared to her latest ones after the release of the report from the DOJ.
You've got the Bondi statements over and over," Kelly said. "The one saying, she didn't say the files on my desk. She was asked specifically about the client list, and she said, 'It's on my desk right now.' Then, a week later, she promised Jesse Waters she was about to dump some sort of information dump that we were all going to be really interested in.
The next day was the influencer debacle at the White House where, for some reason, she invited some of the president's most loyal supporters and tried to humiliate them by giving them Epstein filemarked binders, which had nothing new in them," she added. "It was all publicly released information that had already been out there. Then, she acted indignant. 'She didn't know,' 'it was the sleazy FBI who had withheld the real documents from her.' She was going to get to the bottom of it.
She said further release would come. One did not come," Kelly continued. "Then she was caught on tape saying there are tens of thousands of kiddy porn or child pornography material that we found. Which again is like a third issue over here. And next thing we know, there's no there there.
This is a developing story. RedState will provide updates as more information becomes available.

See? Just like B&B!
Bondi may have not handled FBI Epstein files to the standards of White House protocol. She must be in the learning curve to do her job right. What exists in Epstein’s hidden camera videos may reveal some folks for underage child sex abuse prosecution. I would give it time. Meanwhile, the MAGA movement has bigger fish to fry with the behavior of America’s Left trying to create a coup to continue their destruction of America.
Not a ringing endorsement of President Trump or his administration.
All these Agency heads take orders from Trump as he keeps them on a short leash...No independent thinking allowed.
The whole rotten crew of them are corrupt and self serving to the core.
LET
THEM
FIGHT
aren’t Bondi and Wiles good friends? also i read that there is friction on more than the Epstein case.
Ballard Partners lobbyists. Wiles ran it. Bondi was a partner.
WHAT?! Members of FreeRepublic.com are NOT privy to the details? GASP. Shocking. BOMBSHELL. "Unprecedented!"
not buying it at all, they should have all kept thier mouths shut and let it sit for a while. Now Trump says he cant believe that this is so important when there are other more pressing issues, well you shouldnt have said anything
Pure speculation on my part ..but maybe they are setting up this kerfuffle to get public sentiment to demand the files are released. This way it doesn’t look like the files are being released as revenge on the customers of Epstein.
Sounds a bit conspiratorial....but we are fighting against outright liars in the Congress, Senate, and journalists, and the acting class. A little fakeroo might be necessary.
Pure speculation, but....
“After providing some edits, Kash and Dan signed off on the strategy and contents”
Another source said that, although the three “signed off” on the documents, there were zero signatures on it. They must be using the phrase to mean “agreed”.
That day when Bongino and Patel were together for an interview and said that Epstein definitely killed himself, did you watch Bongino carefully? The body language and the look on his face were like a hostage’s when declaring that he’s not being tortured by his captors.
He should’ve realized that he’s too honest and transparent to succeed in the DC Swamp.
(And Trump should realize that Bongino has done 10X more to get him elected than Jeb-loving, Trayvon-loving Bondi ever has.)
“it may be Susie wiles idea to shut her down. “
Maybe. It’s been posted here that Wiles and Netanyahu are tight, and that his name is there.
“aren’t Bondi and Wiles good friends?”
ALLEGEDLY, it was Wiles who put the bug in Trump’s ear to hire Bondi.
On the Epstein case the WH press releases do not matter. What matters is that the material stuff gets released.
Why are the doing this?
Bondi is bad news.
Bongino and Patel should voice their opinions privately and get back to work.
The Epstein case is no longer just about one man’s crimes—it’s about whether the intelligence community used those crimes as a tool of power.
If Epstein’s operation functioned as a honey trap, it gave the CIA and others leverage over a vast network of elites—some useful for quiet influence, others for critical operations. The intelligence community is likely blocking the release of these files, claiming it’s to protect “sources and methods.”
But here’s the problem: Trump promised transparency. Sunlight. Justice.
Now Bondi is stalling, and people like Dan Bongino are right to call it out. If there’s a legitimate national security concern, say so. Redact what’s necessary. But release everything else.
Because if that doesn’t happen soon, this won’t just look like a cover-up—it will look like the system once again protecting itself while the public is told to forget.
It was important enough to campaign on before the 2024 election. Trump knows marketing and the psychology of the sale. He knows this is about more than just, "a list"; it has become a symbol of transparency and a keystone in restoring a single standard of equal justice for all.
By minimizing the importance of the list, Trump is telegraphing to this supporters that those things are not the priority they were during his campaign for re-election and it's going over like a fart in church.
The DJT I voted for knows better.
By Monday Morning this will have all blown over and a new news cycle will have begun which takes out attention away from this kerfuffle.
“Oh look! A squirrel.”
********************************oh
Believe me when I say it ain’t blowint over.
