Well, I’m in my sweats that double as jammies. LOL! It’s 72 degrees here right now, and all of my outside kitties are very happy. I and my hubby are doing well.
I have some tingling/numbness in my fingers and toes, and my doc is trying to figure out what’s going on. It’s just annoying while I’m typing. Grr!
You and Tippy stay warm too!
Sadly, my appetite is all too good.
Don’t anyone tell me I need to eat, eat, eat at this time. I have plenty of stored fat to do me quite well.
I will remain on my intermittent fasting, carnivore diet until the goal is reached. It also helps with chemo nausea not to have too much in the stomach.

Hi everyone. I am still alive. I have been engaged in watching so many videos about what happened to Charlie Kirk,TPUSA (Turning Point USA),the Epstien files etc.
I am now of the belief that it doesn’t matter who we elect the whole system is so corrupt that I don’t see how it is ever going to get back to what we think was an innocent country. Things really changed after World WarII.
Here is a video I watched today. An interview between Tucker Carlson, and Ian Carrol talking about the Epstien Files. It makes it clear that what a lot of us read and knew about almost 10 years ago was real. PIZZA GATE.
I know some of you have been turned off from Tucker Carlson, Candance Owens and some others, but I fear you don’t know the real story. In time I will try to bring some of that here.

MsBehavin, I read your husband had some kind of surgery done and that you have been taking good care of him. Also that you have had a nasty winter and have been bundled up like a newborn lazing around the fireplace.
Judy, I are you bundled up around the fireplace? (do you even have one?) It sounds like a HORRIBLE winter has hit you, but you just keep knitting away.
Now for what has been going on here besides me watching videos.
The weather this year has been really different everywhere. We had a lot of drizzly days throughout the spring and summer (which is not norm) Now for Winter we haven’t had a even one flake of snow so far this year. We had a couple of days in the 20’s but it has mostly been in the 30’s 40’s 50’s so far. February isn’t over yet and that is typically when we would get the most snow, but it doesn’t look like it will even happen this month.
As you recall my son was hospitalized and was Intubated off and on for several months. I was afraid I was going to lose him.
If you recall several months back the ER and the ICU doctors thought what was happening was from the combination of Suboxin and Gabapentin. Especially the HIGH dosage of Gabapentin that had been perscribed. Not from COPD. Well they didn’t take him off of them. Nobody did. So these weird spells and almost stop breathing kept happening.
The second episode in December they finally took him off of them and one of the anti-depressants cold turkey. He was in the hospital longer then he ever had been before. Almost 7 days. He was released on Dec. 22nd and PRAISE THE LORD he hasn’t had an episode since. So that does seem to be what was causing these episodes. He still uses oxygen 24/7 though.
I don’t have much faith in most doctors. It seems all they want to do is push meds. The doctor who put him on such a high dose of Gabapentin should have his license taken away, but I understant he has left the area to go somewhere else.

No, that was just a separate issue, like a one-and-done.
My chronic illness is an indolent non-hodgkin cancer called Waldenström macroglobulinemia that doesn't do anything but trigger another chronic illness, cold agglutinin disease. Right now I'm undergoing treatment with bendeka, a rather mild chemo to kill off some of the anti-bodies on my white blood cells which attack the red blood cells. I am the site of a bloody civil war, I am!
I'm not doing badly really, just a bit tired.

I’m so glad that your son is doing better. Yes, they push these drugs and really don’t give a rat’s arse what they do to people. It is criminal.
It would appear that any snow you didn’t receive out there, we got piled on us here. It snowed AGAIN all day today. I am so sick of it I could scream.
I had a doctor’s appointment today. Now, that doesn’t sound like anything very newsworthy, but it is for me. I almost NEVER go to doctors, and it’s been years. I was pretty much ordered to go by someone I won’t name (Natalie) and get blood work done. So I went through that nightmare a couple of weeks ago and wanted to get the results, but the doctor insisted I had to come in. I was expecting bad news.....everything from diabetes to cancer to goodness knows what. I am not a specimen of health by any stretch.
Well, surprisingly, everything was good! My iron, my sugar, everything. Even my cholesterol was good! He said to just keep watching my fat intake for that......hahahaha if he could see how much butter I use! I don’t watch my fat intake at all! In fact, the more the better lol.
The only thing I found out is that my thyroid is not good. So, I now have to take my first daily pill, starting tomorrow morning. Ugh. I hope I remember.
Oh! And the other thing good is I mentioned to him about my nightly trips to the bathroom because I have to pee so often. Well, he told me that I have a condition that comes to some post-menopausal women, in that the bladder becomes overly sensitive and you constantly feel the need to urinate. THERE’S A PILL FOR IT! I get it on Monday. It numbs the area of the bladder that signals, so you don’t have to get up 5 times a night to run to the bathroom! I can’t wait to try it.....I haven’t had more than 2 hours of sleep for two years. I just hope it doesn’t numb me so much that I sleep soundly and drown!
Enough of my medical stuff.....again, good to hear from you. I’ll consider watching the video, but I really have turned off a lot of these people lately. It’s just less stress to hear what they, and many others, have to say.
The only guy I actually trust is James Lindsay. He’s very wise.

I (and son)do intermittent fasting also - not by plan but just we both feel better with one meal late afternoon. I also do 2-4 day fast once every 6-8 weeks. Been doing this for decades. To rest gut & detox

Your comment reminded me of my sister-in-law. She uses dictation for texting and the other day she was responding and was sending the word “egotistical” to me. I received “eagle testicle.” Lololo I knew what she meant.

Cold in Jeff’s trailer ….amazing how one’s body acclimates to cold. It’s been regularly in 40’s and 50’s in Jeff’s abode and i consider that pretty good considering the porous condition of the trailer and no insulation AND the very cold outside temps.
I dress in layers, SmartWool socks and a ski cap and do just fine
In the kitchen after cooking and the sun pouring heat through the window the kitchen temp reaches low 60s which is warm enough i take off hat and top layer of shirts
In PM in my room if i close the curtain(no door) it gets toasty. In PM’s if i have ATT connection, i play online. If not my TV/BluRay or a book prevail
The big issue we have is if we lose power….Like today’s concern. Ice storms and high winds that knock down tree limbs onto power lines. Today’s predictions 25-45MPH
Judy I’m concerned about your thyroid situation n medication prescribed. You seem to be the healthiest in our group and I seriously believe that’s in part due to your staying away from meds. Read Spunky’s recent note
In Canada do you have Naturopathic Physicians? They specialize in thyroid. They are a rare breed and one of three doc groups recognized in US

As I mentioned they are rare..in most areas if you can find one, you are fortunate. Downside -They aren’t covered by insurance . I had a wonderful one in Ohio for several years but she left the area when her hubby completed his Cardiology Residency at Cleveland Clinic. This was 2002-3 timeframe. They were returning to their hometown and opening a combined clinic. She was my PCP and i was active and healthy due to her care and treatment
The thyroid is a gland that is vital in controlling metabolism and many maladies result when there is a problem with thyroid and it is not treated OR TREATED INCORRECTLY. Paramount - wrong medications that mask symptoms rather than correct problem.
Side effects from all meds -annoying to harmful
The MDs and DOs tend to look down on them rather than recognizing their contribution . North Carolina doesn’t even recognize or license them. Much like Chiropractors decades ago. Each having a specific skill that is of value to people
