A federal jury has convicted a 35-year-old South Florida man who fraudulently booked more than 120 free airline flights by posing as a flight attendant, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.
Tiron Alexander was found guilty on June 5 of wire fraud and unlawfully entering a secure airport area under false pretenses. Prosecutors said Alexander exploited a program intended for airline staff, using it to board 34 flights without paying between 2018 and 2024.
According to evidence presented at trial, Alexander submitted false information through an airline carrier's employee flight booking system. He falsely claimed to be a flight attendant with seven different airlines, providing roughly 30 fake badge numbers and hire dates. Authorities said he successfully used the system to travel dozens of times at no cost.
Jurors also learned that Alexander impersonated a flight attendant on three other airline carriers, further expanding the scope of the scheme.
Alexander is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 25 and faces up to 30 years in federal prison.

Federal “P.M.I.T.A.” Prison.
Is it just me or does 30 years seem a bit harsh?
He did good, he revealed all sorts of software holes.
Pay the man.
His court case will be delayed and his lawyer’s documents will be lost and he’ll get probed upon arriving at the courthouse and they will irradiate him and find nothing and a dog will sniff him while the guy outside the line tells him he can get 2 free weeks of ‘clear’ even though he can get 2 free months of ‘clear’ by signing up online and he will ultimately be charged for run on sentences.
Sounds a bit like Frank Abagnale, the man who ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and ‘It Takes A Thief’ is based off of.
Frank posed as an airline pilot and got to ride jumpseat to many, many places.
“Is it just me or does 30 years seem a bit harsh?”
He won’t get 30.
That is precisely what leapt to mind when I saw this.
According to Wiki, a lot of that guy’s claims about his exploits have proved false.
“Office Space” reference.
Sweet.
I suppose that he was able to sit around doing nothing in his flight attendant suit, thereby blending in flawlessly with the “real attendants.”
“...more than 100 free flights...”
“...more than 120 free airline flights...”
“...34 flights...”
“...dozens of times...”
The CIA might be able to use him. He’s bold. And he has a certain talent, a set of skills. Just like this guy:
Yes
What’s scary is that Flight Attendants and their carry-on luggage is no longer screened by TSA, providing they are in uniform with an ID.
Yes, he got away with it for a long time, but where exactly was he going, while criss crossing the country?
My guess is he “had no particular place to go”, but enjoyed the thrilling rush of acting out a lie and successfully fooling people. Or, he could have been acting as a Drug Mule.
“CATCH ME IF YOU CAN”
Dif he master a lisp to complete the job image?
Wow. Looks like the TSA and the airlines were really on the ball here.
