Newsom foe picked by Trump for key prosecutor job vows to 'dismantle' sanctuary state shields

Democratic California Gov Gavin Newsom has not reached out to Bill Essayli since his appointment

Republican California Assemblyman Bill Essayli is pledging to "dismantle" his state's status as a popular sanctuary for illegal immigrants after President Donald Trump tapped him this week to head up a team of prosecutors for the nation's largest federal district court by population.

"I'm excited to get to work and to implement their vision and their mission for the Department of Justice," Essayli told Fox News Digital in a phone interview. "I think the first order of business is reassuring people and reinstilling trust into the Justice Department. I think for the last few years, it's been weaponized, has been politicized, and the President's made it clear that we're going to restore trust into our law enforcement agencies and into the Department of Justice."

Essayli, a lightning rod in California legislative politics who frequently spars with Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, said his commitment is to "restore law and order" in his new post as U.S. attorney for the Central District of California. "We're going to get back to work," he said. "We're going to go after these transnational organizations, which the president designated as terrorist organizations."

It's happening - increased trust in the FBI, ICE, Homeland and the DOJ is starting.... There's hope. As far as Gavin is concerned he's moving right - - probably NOT fast enough to save his job...

This is the best chance of success. If he’d been appointed to the northern district headquarters in san Francisco , the judges would fight him at every turn. That’s why a goodly number of the temporary restraining order cases are in the northern district of CA

I’m not a lawyer but it seems to me that obstruction of justice and harboring fugitives should be illegal.

This is a big deal.

US Attorney for the Central District of California. The very belly of the beast.

And he’s a studied antagonist with great power to right some serious wrongs that have emerged in this District, and others.

The District is lawless except for the really weird sh!t, but it most definitely has not been subservient to US Law.

I hope this works. Newsom keeps raising taxes and gas( now at $6.19 gallon up from $4.57 Jan 1, 2025).
Avocados are $3.59

Gotta feed the California bureaucracy/communists for the greater good.

Sanctuary states import hobos for high body count so the begging from the feds will give more money kind of like a dump with neon lights.

Why do anything, tell the States that immigration is a Federal issue, and if they get in the way THEY will go to jail. Any and all, from Pastors, Nuns and entire Churches. If they stand in the way, their property will be seized upon conviction. I am speaking of Churches that house illegals, in separate buildings or the main one.

<>When asked how he would go about removing sanctuary state protections for illegal immigrants, Essayli responded he will be working “hand in hand” with the Trump Justice Department and Attorney General Pam Bondi. <>

What say the Bondi Derangement Syndrome (BDS) Freepers?
