U.K. woman has spoken of time in detention after being branded an illegal alien by American border officials, as she warned other would-be travelers not to get caught up in President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown.
Rebecca Burke, a 28-year-old graphic artist from Monmouthshire, South Wales, told British newspaper The Guardian how she had been refused entry to Canada from the state of Washington.
She told the paper after she was sent back to the U.S, American officials classed her as an illegal alien, shackled and transported her to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center, where she was locked up for 19 days.
Newsweek has contacted ICE for comment by email outside business hours.

Burke's account is the latest description of what has been described as an increasingly draconian approach by U.S. border officials, even toward temporary visa holders and visitors.
What to Know Burke had arrived in the U.S. during the Joe Biden administration for a backpacking tripping trip of North America. During it, she had stayed with a host family in Portland, Oregon, exchanging domestic work for accommodation.
She said she was refused entry into Canada to stay with another host family on a similar arrangement, and was informed that she should have applied for a working visa rather than a tourist visa.

I guess before the update, the section read something like: “Don’t bother with anything other than a tourist visa, since the Globalists running the US don’t care what you do there.”
Canada had a good point.
So, why does she have a gripe with the US and not more so with Canada?
If she had got into Canada the US would not have been a problem.

Because they sniffed her out - she was wanting to work in Canada under a Tourist Visa. I guess she figured that if the US didn’t care, neither was Canada. What she failed to realize was that Canada does not want WHITES coming in to their country, they only want people who hate the West.

They told enough - that she VIOLATED her Tourist Visa by working and thus was in the country ILLEGALLY. Like she later said - if you come to the US on a Tourist visa, then be a TOURIST, nothing more, and you’ll be fine.

I read the whole article but didn’t see what she thought was her ‘position of privilege.’ Did anyone else catch it?

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more to the story than we’ve been told here but that aside, ya know what increasingly draconian tactics do? They warn people not to eff around and find out.
Bummer, man.
So she came to the USA on a tourist visa to go backpacking, then went on to do work to fund it. When she tried to do the same in Canada, she probably told them “like what I’ve been doing here in the USA”. That doesn’t fly, I’ve had issues entering Canada due to incorrect paperwork. Chances are the Canadian authorities communicated to the USA authorities because of her improper visa in the USA.
So, she’s here illegally...the rest of the story “in chains for weeks”, blah blah - unless she assaulted officers or something, I don’t buy it for a microsecond.

She was stateside, went to go into Canada and they refused her entry?

Don’t blame Trump, blame the damn traitor Joe Biden who as we speak should be on trial for treason. He is the bastard who for four years assisted in the invasion of our country which in my opinion should be declared a nation emergency.
