PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Keith Wilson formally accepted the position as Portland mayor-elect in a speech early Thursday afternoon, becoming the first Portland mayoral candidate elected by ranked-choice voting.
This comes after both candidates and city commissioners Carmen Rubio and Rene Gonzalez conceded Wednesday night, releasing statements saying they each called Wilson to congratulate him on his apparent victory.

I saw part of a TV interview of his. He sounds like a good guy. Business owner that grew up in Portland and wants to return the city to sanity. I wish him the best.

He is apparently unaffiliated with any political party. He's the CEO of a trucking company.

I didn’t see that, but then I was really looking for his political party. Good catch, what kind of start up money did he get for his business from the Biden Administration?
Maybe we Californians need rank choice voting LoL!
The rank choice was a Portland thing. Rank choice was shot down on the Oregon state ballot.
He pledged to end unsheltered homelessness in his first year.
That’s some GOOD Oregon drugs rite there .
even if he is devine he still has the cancer within the city and state government to deal with
Ranked choice voting? When did THAT become the method used in Oregon? I thought only Alaska (which we all hope gets voted out) and Maine had that kind of voting system.

Many states had referendums on ‘ranked choice voting.’ Many states now ban this stupidity. It’s evil. It’s Communist...but it appears to forward the agenda of those that want to see America fail! *SPIT*
