Veteran lefty political analyst Van Jones said he is “nervous” about Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances at the polls Tuesday — after her campaign focused on out-of-touch celebrity endorsements.
Jones, a former special adviser to President Barack Obama, said Harris’ “star-studded” campaign events in the days leading up to the election felt eerily similar to the final days of Hillary Clinton’s failed White House bid in 2016.
The political analyst admitted he was skeptical that her final swing-state push, which has featured celebs like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey, will actually convince working-class people to vote blue.
“The other thing that makes me nervous, in 2016, we had a big star-studded event right on the edge of the election, and we lost the state,” Jones said on CNN Monday.

Yes I misspoke
Do the masses really fall for the idea that the Democrats are for common folk when they trot out the very rich Hollywood celebrities that yell, WE ARE FOR YOU LITTLE PEOPLE, don’t you identify with us ‘cause you see us in movies?
A repeated lie can become “truth”
But the opposite is also true. Repeated truth can also change things. We say the truth once and think that is good enough.
How many times has Trump had to say things before people started to get it. We should be using our outdoor voice also.
MAGA
And I should have checked the existing responses before I posted. No harm, no foul! Have a great day, FRiend.
He was known as "Scranton Joe". Of course, he was a big Union Guy.
He was in decline but of course his handlers put him in the basement in Delaware so he wasn't too exposed on the campaign trail. Covid was his excuse.
You do the same
A lot of Never Trumper Republicans were comfortable with voting for Joe.
That is certainly not the case with Commie-La.
This electioni is the Democrat Party vs Americans.
Oh, my.
Frank, thank you!
That is certainly not the case with Commie-La.
Rogan is not a fan of Trump. But he feels that he has no choice but to endorse Trump.
Rogan is not a fan of Trump.
Rogan despised him to the point where he vowed to never have him on his show.
Who knows? Maybe over time during his term he’ll start winning over more of these people if they go in with an open mind, and stop listening to the MSM Lies about Trump.
I hope many people who are turned off by Trump also consider the choices rationally and vote Trump.
Thanks to Elon Musk for pointing out that we're all ****ed if we don't vote for Trump this time.
And Elon wasn’t a Trump fan then, neither.

Until he suddenly realized that his freedom to speak may be restricted if Harris gets elected. That won’t happen under Trump. Its an easy choice for him. Just saying.
It took 8 years for these people to figure it out. Better late than never, I suppose.
Harris has to win to protect all her celeb friends who are mixed up with Diddy
A few years ago an article was posted on the FR that showed several races where celebrity endorsements actually measurable reduced a DemonRat’s poll numbers. I don’t remember exactly where it was, but celebrity campaigning can be damaging.
I just did a quick search for older articles about celebrity endorsements. I found one from 2000 that listed all the celebs who were going to leave the country if Bush won. Top of the list was Alec Baldwin. Halyna Hutchins is disappointed he didn’t follow through on his promise.
There was a Harvard study released Sept ‘24 that “proved” celebrity endorsements really do help. Big grain of salt with that.
