All the US attorneys were fired on day 1. Which immediately shutdown all the federal investigations into Bill and Shrillary.

Merrick Garland appointed Smith to investigate Trump based on Trump having classified docs.

Something that Biden had plenty of in his garage.

Smith was appointed to investigate Trump having classified documents. Something for which Biden had plenty of in his garage.

Trump should have his new AG appoint an investigator to go after the Bidens

Clinton fired every US attorney. Then appointed his own.

I looked it up. Slick fired 93 of 94 attorneys.

Un freaking believable.

A new President can and usually gets rid of the Federal Attorneys and replaces with his own people. Nothin unusual about that. You don’t think Trump will not do that if he makes it back in, he will clean house and all of you on here will applaud him for it.

He could, but he would be better off tying Smith up in a brief Judiciary Committee invest specifically designed to remove him. And then have Smith put into protective custody, or maybe renditioned.

The deep irony about to hit afterburner, is that SCOTUS decision that put the hi-test octane into the Unitary Executive theory -- in Trump v. United States -- almost certainly grants President TrumpII immunity from Smith's prosecution for at least the next 4 years, because that decision was so broad it can be successfully argued that TrumpII cannot be compelled to testify against himself as the President.

For instance, pre-empting testimony on the handling of classified documents in TrumpI, when it could reveal the handling of classified documents in TrumpII!

Smith is illegally prosecuting Trump anyway. Fire him and send him the bill for legal costs.

You just do it the “Clinton Way” have all the US Attorneys turn in their signed resignations on inauguration day. I think Bill accepted all but 1.

Remember the Saturday Night Massacre....

Well, most people thought the case was legit and Nixon was dirty. It was the biggest story every day for a couple of years. I don't think most people give Jack Smith a second thought, or a first one for that matter.

“ if the Justice Department is not prosecuting Trump directly, then it does not look as if the Biden administration is persecuting Trump.”

DOJ is not independent. If they do it, it is at three presidents pleasure. DOJ cannot pursue anything he says not to.

Arrest and jail without bond for federal election interference and RICO (with all the other co-conspirators involved in the 4 lawfare cases) at the same time as being fired.

All of them, all the way down to each buildings janitors.

U.S. Attorneys are political appointees. It is NORMAL for them to resign or be fired when a new president is elected and a new AG is appointed.

Trump can surely arrest the Special Councel and have him detained to quarters.

Smith was appointed by attorney general Merrick Garland.

Newsweak may want to look into that issue.
