Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) said Friday on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that the changing climate is causing hurricanes to become more severe when discussing the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Host Dana Bash said, “This storm was 420 miles wide at one point, which appears to be part of a trend where storms are simply bigger than they once were, perhaps because of the changing climate. What are your thoughts on that?”
Scott said, “Who knows but you’re right. Irma was bigger than our state. This was gigantic. And do you know, the other thing that it seems like what’s happening, is the storm surge is getting worse. We had over ten foot of storm surge.”

Rick might want to spend a few minutes and read up on the storms that wiped out Indianola TX in the late 1800’s. One put a storm surge something like 15 miles inland and scoured the city off of the map.
Indianola and Galveston were vying for who was to be the big port city. Today about all that remains of Indianola is a historical landmark.

It’s been a very disappointing hurricane season for the climate hysterics, they are trying to get the most out of this storm.

Not to forget that Florida used to alot bigger during the Ice Age, then it got WARMER and what we know as Florida got a lot smaller.
Just look at a under water map of the continents.
The process is just continuing.
I’ve seen a number of posts on Instagram where the sea
surge is blamed on global warming, and not just another
hurricane.
It’s disconcerting to see so many ignorant people out there.

Climate has always changed, but that’s not what this is.
Florida has had 119 hurricanes since 1850 but the last one was due to climate change. Yeah, right.
