Vice President Kamala Harris edges former President Trump in a head-to-head matchup, as more voters see Harris as the candidate who will help the middle class, and Hispanics and independents swing in her direction.
The new Fox News national survey finds a 3 percentage-point shift among registered voters in the 2024 presidential contest since mid-August. Trump had a 1-point advantage last month, while Harris is ahead by 2 points today: 50%-48%. For reference, in July, Trump was ahead by 1 point over President Biden. Each of those differences falls within the margin of error.
This marks the first time Harris has hit 50% support, and the trial ballot result is identical among both registered and likely voters. That’s unsurprising given most Americans who are willing to spend time answering a political survey are also probably going to vote.
***
The biggest change since last month is that independents and Hispanics have swung Harris’ way. Hispanics favored Trump by 6 points in August, but they go for Harris by 12 points today. Independents went for Trump by 8 points last month, but now prefer Harris by 12. It is important to remember that estimates among small subgroups are more volatile and tend to swing more than others, and that applies here.***
Harris’ strongest backing comes from Black voters, urban voters, those under age 30, voters 65 and over, college graduates and women. She’s narrowly ahead in union households, a group that Biden won by low double-digits. Her numbers also still trail his 2020 pre-election numbers a bit among Blacks and young voters. ***

Here’s Trump on Walz:

A majority are, or at least a sizable majority are willing to be directed to the boxcar lines. Everyone is sitting on the sidelines hoping for someone *else* to do something. Good f*&@&*^%^ luck with that!
And what are YOU doing? Besides complaining all the time.
“Here in Las Vegas, there are more Trump commercials than Kamala commercials. Perhaps it’s where you live.”
I live in Washington state. I’ve seen a lot of Harris/Walz yard signs, bumper stickers and clothing. They’re all over the place. I’ve seen very few, if any, Trump/Vance signs or bumper stickers.
So yes, “it’s where you live.”
RCP has had Trump up 2 for weeks
9 points better than 2020
Even if this poll is accurate then it means she will not win the electoral college. Trump will be President.
There are conservative shows on Fox and some conservative commentators. They are no longer a Conservative network due to the inheritors of the Murdock media empire that are not leftists but left of center. Oddly with this they are just about neutral but appear to be right wing as neutrality seems conservative as compared to the rest of the media.
Case in point, there are many areas Hannity will not explore least he be fired as was Tucker Carlsen. Tucker could say things he should have not without verification and was mostly correct but sometime spectacularly wrong.
Hannity will not cross the danger line. Hannity is a very rich man and deservedly so due to his mediocre talent and great luck. His political analysis is not very good but just a shadow of Victor Davis Hansen. Victor Davis Hansen is a political genius of analysis, and political history. It is good to be rich, but how much is rich worth, your soul?
How many minds would be changed by more Trump ads on networks that nobody is watching anymore? This isn’t 1996. Trump is crisscrossing the country now holding huge rallies, which are much more effective than spending big bucks on ads.
A couple hours ago they said this same poll was a toss up and within the margin of error.
They rewrote the story to give her a boost.
Plus it’s registered voters, and a national poll, and a Fox poll.
They had Trump leading before? They didn’t make much of it.
There are dangers but this poll doesn’t sound like a big one.
This result is better than several polls released in the last week, which show Harris about four points ahead. The polls may reflect a short-term bounce for Harris due to the debate. Also, if Harris only wins the popular vote by 2 percent, she will probably lose the electoral college.
Not true of online presence. The youtube ads are running about 50/50.
This poll is within the margin of error, and within the last few hours they rewrote the article so it’s all Harris,Harris,Harris.
The powers that run Fox, hate Trump.
Guess I might as well start learning to speak Spanish.
Not much difference between MSNBC and FOX polling unfortunately.
Then again, they have to have polls showing her ahead, in order to cover up for their cheating.
Would like to beleive that the American voter is more knowledgable and sophisticated than that. However the reality is that you are right.Ignorane, stupidity and depravity now determines elections and the fate of the country. John Adams was right. A Republic cannot survive with such an electorate.
I’m in Kentucky. She’s dominating national advertising. Zero presence from Trump.
Also, I for some reason have a Pennsylvania IP address on my internet at present. Inundated with Kamala ads on streaming channels - zero - zero - presence from Trump. Also getting Pennsylvania Senate race ads.
I will take your word for it. I unplugged the idiot box years ago. Now only watch commercial free programming via streaming.
I don’t understand the hand ringing over this poll. If these numbers are true, Trump wins where it counts - in the electoral college.
More bullshit from one of the biggest TDS trolls on this site.
Well I don’t do that so I’m not funding agendas I don’t agree with - things like Cuties, etc. that are on streaming services you are funding by subscribing even if you don’t watch it. With commercials, they only make money off what I choose to watch...but the main reason is I’ve saved many thousands of bucks over the years.
I make good use of the “mute” button, however.
