Former President Donald Trump has overtaken Vice President Kamala Harris among independents, the latest weekly survey — taken after the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Illinois — from the Economist/YouGov found.
The survey asked respondents, “In November 2024, who do you plan to vote for in the presidential election” and listed Trump, Harris, independent candidate Cornel West, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein as options. Notably, this survey was taken after independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump.
Overall, Harris — whom many believe is at the end of the honeymoon period of her campaign — leads Trump by two percentage points, 47 percent to Trump’s 45 percent. Notably, she led Trump by three points the week prior.
One percent goes to Stein, while West receives zero percent support. Five percent across the board remain unsure.
While Trump predictably leads among Republicans and Harris leads among Democrats, Trump has regained a solid lead among independents, as 42 percent choose him compared to 37 percent who support Harris — a five-percent gap.

Kamala is all about the gap...
It’s always amazed me. Of course every poll has a different sample, but theoretically these polls reflect actual people who supported Trump, fell for the Kamala pixie dust, then wised up again. I can’t imagine being so monumentally stupid and gullible
I’ve always been an Independent, Nixon and the GOP were too liberal for me to want to sign-up with them as a registered member of their organization, and I have always felt that way.
No and I downloaded the song. I loved that song as a kid.
Lots of Trump-shy independent voters
It's worse. It's a D+8.7 poll (without "leaners").
They also polled women +7.7 over men.

Cook poll has Trump down and NC leaning to the Rats. Has Robinson way down. Has Harris up 5 Nationally. But you have to get past their paywall to read the details like sampling etc. I believe Robinson is down but is within the margin of error. RATS always poll better in NC. I find it hard to believe Robinson will not see the majority of black voters voting for him come November.
I believe 95% of actually voters have made their decision. With the margins tight in PA, MI and WI, the 5% undecideds are who both sides are pandering to. Nobody wanted Trump over Biden, jumped to Harris, then changed their mind and returned to Trump. Harris’ bump came from RATS who were going to sit out and not vote for Biden.
Hello Muddah (from the DNC)
She’s been taking notes from Biden
From the public she is hidin’
In this race she’s a beginner
And she doesn’t seem to have a brain within her.
To globalists she just caters
All her voters are just Trump-haters
And a bunch of lefty sissies
And some more who don’t know if they’re men or missies.
She thinks Barack’s staff will carry her
Like his kids, Sharia and Malaria.
There’s some Dems who were our smarties
But now they’re out there for the Grand Ol’ Party
Make her go, oh Muddah, Faddah
Make her go, I hate Kamala
Don’t leave her on the ticket where
She has no shadow of a prayer
Make her go, I promise I will
Not start riots, or mess around with
Lawfare please, oh please don’t make her stay
She answered no questions again today
Since RFK’s endorsement
We’ve been smoking bales of horse mint
And Tulsi now? It makes us dizzy,
Yeah we’re excited - just as much as Biden’s busy.
The Party told us it’s smooth sailing
Now the polls show how much she’s failing
Some are thinking that Biden’s bettah
Muddah, Faddah send a Soros to come get her
Someone should dress in a chicken or duck costume and follow her everywhere
“I find it hard to believe Robinson will not see the majority of black voters voting for him come November.”
Believe.
It never, never, never, never works that way.
Show me one (1) statewide election for U.S. Senate or Governor in which a black Republican has received a majority of the black vote.
MAYBE Edward Brooke back in Massachusetts in the 1960s or 1970s, when blacks comprised perhaps 3% of Massachusetts so who cares how they voted?
Since Brooke (over 4 decades ago), there has been ONE black Republican win at the senatorial or gubernatorial level, and that’s Tim Scott in South Carolina. If anyone can dig up exit polling for Scott’s 2022 win, it will certainly show that he did not get a majority of back votes.
Lolol
Tucker receives a letter from a fan (hint: Commie-la) and it's posted on his X account
What a loss if Robinson doesn’t make it
Democrats are too dumb to be called Idiots!!!
Who can be undecided between tyrannical, despotic communist enslavement and the blessings of freedom and liberty?
That is an excellent quote
hilarious, something we’d get from RUSH who often used humor to express a point.
that’s my thought too.
not many people liked her as VP recently, so why would she get anything more if running for President?
That's because a good HALF of our population is living between Apathy and Dependence!
