Lisa J. Stevenson, Acting General Counsel Federal Election Commission 1050 First Street, N.E. Washington, D.C. 20463 Ms. Stevenson, As Members of Congress, we are committed to the safety and integrity of our election and democracy. We are writing to offer our support for Public Citizen's Petition for Rulemaking to Clarify the Law Against Fraudulent Misrepresentation Public Citizen is petitioning the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to clarify that 52 U.S.C. § 30124 includes deep fakes of an election candidate as a fraudulent misrepresentation. As you know, 52 U.S.C. §30124 prohibits a candidate for federal office or an employee or agent campaign ads to depict themselves or another candidate engaged in an action that did not happen or saying something the depicted candidate did not say. Come prie like Taylor Site his socia wed plate a promoting false endorsements The proliferation of deep-fake Al technology has the potential to severely misinform voters, causing confusion and disseminating dangerous falsehoods. It is critical for our democracy that this be promptly addressed, noting the degree to which Grok-2 has already been used to distribute fake content regarding the 2024 presidential election. We respectfully request the Commission expeditiously consider these recommendations and initiate the necessary emergency rulemaking process. We look forward to your response and working together to protect the integrity of our electoral system.

Vote for Superman
That's how stupid this is. People make images like this using Grok. They are totally animated looking. No deep fake stuff. One of the latest shows kamala with golden hair. A joke because she keeps picking Trump agenda items as hers. Started with no taxes on tips and the latest is Build the Wall.
No one thinks that cartoonish pic of kamala with golden hair is real just like no one thinks she'll actually do the wall. It's a harmless joke but the left can't meme so they're mad.

The greatest threat to democracy is the actual progressive process to destroy the American Republic.
All the progressives are de facto enemies of the American Republic. The progressives are the most dangerous American enemies in all the world.
I some how never learned....... who or what is the Corn Pop character?

Some BS story that Biden told about growing up. Some guy, presumably black, was “named corn pop and he was a bad ass dude”. Kind of like the blonde hair on his legs that the kids used to like to stroke in the pool. Just weird made up Biden stuff.

I think they're worried about what Joe Blow on the street's going to produce, NOT the specific ones already called out in the law.

Sent by you:
is sponge bob really corn pop?
Sent by Copilot:
No, SpongeBob and Corn Pop are not the same. SpongeBob SquarePants is a fictional character from the popular animated TV show, while Corn Pop seems to be a nickname or a character you mentioned earlier. They are entirely different and unrelated.
Is there something specific you’re curious about regarding SpongeBob or Corn Pop?

Hey! “its” doesn’t have an apostrophe. You made a grammatical mistake. That proves you’re an ignorant deplorable. FBI has opened up a file on you.

On the subject of Sponge Bob, I have no interest at all.
I see references to Corn Pop associated with Biden. Some how in age related fog and perhaps dither, I was never able to learn the source of the Corn Pop association. I long to be up to date on subjects corrosive to Joe Biden
Having a long and trusted memory, my mind conjures up Kellog Corn Pops and Andy Devine. Although he was born in the Arizona Territory he was a Republican and can't really be associated with a criminal politician from Deleware.
