Former President Trump is facing fierce blowback from his line of attack questioning Vice President Harris’s Black identity, risking his efforts to court more Black voters in November.
The former president drew shock and outrage from members of the Black community after claiming Harris, who is biracial, had “turned Black” after identifying only as Indian for years. Harris has repeatedly referenced her Black and Indian cultural background in her years in the political spotlight.
The fallout online from the interview at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention was swift, with some experts arguing the comments will damage Trump badly with Black voters in the fall.

Harris is in no ways tired.
He needs every vote. Every election from 2004 through 2020 (sans 2008) was decided by 500,000 votes or less. Allow me to quantify that.
Gen.Blather wrote recently that his Uncle who was big in Ohio Repub circles said “ said, each party candidate will attract about forty percent of the total vote. It doesn’t matter who they are, whether they’re good candidates or even if they’re dead. They get forty percent. All elections are a fight for the necessary eleven percent to make 51%”
He’s a smart man. I would argue, however, it’s actually LESS than that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_popular_vote_margin
Since Reagan’s landslide in 1984, the popular vote margin ranged from a high of 8.51% for Clinton to a low of -2.09% for Trump.
As we know, the popular vote isn’t the decider - it’s the Electoral College. Thus you have to scrutinize the winning vote margin in those close states that tip the balance to the winner, ie the Tipping Point states. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipping-point_state
Since 2004 every election except for 2008 it came down to the handful of states that tip the Electoral College scale to the winner:
- In Trump’s win in 2016, his cumulative winning margin in the tipping point states of Wi, Mi, and PA was 77,444 votes.
-In Biden’s case, his tipping point margin was about 40k votes.
-Obama in 2012, it was about 500k votes.
-Bush in 2004, about 16k votes.
All this campaigning and rallies and debates blah blah blah…it all comes down in general to beating the other guy (or gal) by less than 100,000 votes.
….and it’s actually thinner than that, because all the losing candidate needed was to flip at least half of those votes.
Who gives a rat’s about whether Kamala is white or black or plaid. Pound the Admin on inflation, the economy, unemployment, regulations, competition, innovation RELENTLESSLY.
I think it may be best for JD Vance to do this and call Kamala out for Blackfishing.
Turn up the volume
Far less so as it is made clear she really is a pretend African American and a direct descendant of slave holders.
I think the appeal of Vance was discipline an hard work can take you out of poverty.
“It’s good to know The Hill has started to look out for Trump.”
I think they’ve turned over a new leaf.
lol
The Hill has been a lying, leftist rag for decades now.
“Kamala is 50 percent Indian, 30 percent black and 20 percent white.”
Wrong, her father claims to be Irish and Hindu
Great points. You’re right. Trump has turned the entire political fabric of America upside down. The reason he has so much appeal is that he’s not speaking to the American people with the usual nuances as a typical politician would. He’s tapped in to the average American’s natural populist and nativist feelings about their country and the established order in DC, both Democrat and Republican, can’t stand it!
I dont care if she is purple, she is a California liberal.
They’re all cut from the same cloth. They’ve always been able to hide their liberal leanings for the most part, but the hurricane that is Donald Trump, has turned their world upside down. Life was good for all of them when our side would follow the same RINO politicians down to defeat and the cycle would repeat itself over and over again. That all changed the minute the “bad Orange Man” came down that escalator nine years ago in Trump Tower to announce for the presidency.
Nobody from Jamaica who is alive today has a slaveowning grandfather. Slavery was abolished there in 1833. The slaveowner was a several greats further back than that. Harris’s father has African and Irish ancestry but not Hindu or Indian so far as I know.
I doubt it.
Wishful thinking on the part of The Hill.
They’re trying to get him to back off on something which means it’s working.
President Trump should turn up the volume and accuse her of Blackfishing. It may be best for JD to do it at first to see how it takes.
Or gain black votes, as she’s exposed as a fraud. She’s more Indian than anything else, at most she’s 25% black, if that.
“Kamala is 50 percent Indian, 30 percent black and 20 percent white.”
Wrong, her father claims to be Irish and Hindu”
If her father is 50% Hindu and 50% Irish, and her mother is 100% Indian, that would put her at 75% Indian and 25% Irish. However, those numbers maybe off a tad on the fathers side, so there could be a small percentage of Black in there. One poster had the Black at 1/16 percent. You will notice that she never mentions the Irish in her “pedigree”.
Says I’m assuming a negroid raced Hill clarion
Obama even though half white harlot was authentic to blacks
Kamala not exactly
