“Let’s get the deal done so we can get a cease-fire to end the war,” she told reporters in brief remarks after her bilateral meeting with Netanyahu at the White House. “Let’s bring the hostages home, and let’s provide much-needed relief to the Palestinian people.”
Harris’s decision to give her full backing for the deal and explain its general outline appeared designed to add pressure on Israel and Hamas to close the remaining gaps in reaching an agreement to at least temporarily end more than nine months of conflict.
That it was the vice president, not President Biden, giving public remarks after they each held bilateral meetings with the Israeli leader reflected how much has changed in Washington in recent days. Biden announced Sunday he was exiting the presidential race; by Tuesday, Harris had become the likely Democratic nominee.
In her remarks, Harris reiterated that she remains a firm backer of Israel, reflecting on collecting money to plant trees in Israel as a young girl, while also expressing serious concern about some of Israel’s conduct in its unrelenting military campaign in Gaza.

Kamala Harris is the Vice President of the United States. So she has to defend the Biden Administration's record. There's a lack of respect in the Nation's Capital and obviously, it's not a good look. So Kamala changed her mind and met with Netanyahu yesterday.

Israel needs to “accept” a cease-fire deal? How about Hamas releases all the hostages first? In exchange, Hamas and their Pali followers get safe passage from Israel to Iran. Let the Mullahs decide what to do with them.
My fault, I usually spell it all out but most here already know. The Military Industrial Complex. Follow the money. No war no profits for defense and arms contractors. This is why they do not want Trump in office. He has threatened to pull us out of the wars.
Harris is either lying, too dense to figure out they will not let this happen, or she has not been briefed on who really runs this country. They will do anything they have to keep us in these wars for profit. Not excepting eliminating people if they have to. So if she is serious she has reason to be worried.
