Tulsi Gabbard says KH will be controlled by Hillary, queen of warmongers
She is the one who single-handedly sank Harris’s presidential bid in a 2020 debate. They undoubtedly hate each other. I’m with Gabbard in that fight.
Worse nobody knows who’s running the country right now. We all know its not Joe.
Gabbard has had some pretty extreme positions in the past.
Does she still have them?
Clearly not. She was a lefty Democrat while getting her bearings in the politics of Hawaii, a very hard-left Democrat state. It was necessary for Gabbard to espouse those positions, but she rapidly found it didn't sit with her ethical or moral sense as a patriotic American and military person.
In 2020 she ripped Hillary up one side and down the other, and was single-handedly responsible for Kamala not getting any traction as a candidate on merit (Biden chose Harris as VP strictly because of her melanin and vagina).
Gabbard disavowed all that leftist crap years ago, left the Democrat party very publicly and vocally, started making speeches about her conversion, and wrote a book called "For Love of Country, Leave the Democrat Party".
You can't get much more explicit than that, but she did today by coming out and saying, "Defeat Harris, vote for Trump."
I believe she is completely sincere.
I’ll take your word for and read her book.
Thanks.
I observe that the leftist positions she took while still a Hawaii Democrat were pretty standard progressive stuff. The FR anti-Tulsi crowd still drags that crap out and smears her with it. She admits she was mistaken, and has disavowed most -- not all -- of those positions.
I recommend reading her book (For Love of Country) to see what her positions are now. I won't try to summarize them, other than to say that I think she clearly has crossed the line from left to right and is not looking back.
Is she a rock-solid 100% right-wing conservative? No. Is she a potentially valuable ally of conservatives? Yes. We would do well to make her welcome.
You are very welcome, FRiend. Happy reading (I enjoyed it too).
Tulsi’s father had trouble getting elected as a Republican, so he became a Democrat. Tulsi’s case is a little more complicated. She didn’t have to support Bernie Sanders. A big reason why she did, though, may have been foreign policy.
Frankly, in 2016 I voted against Hillary. I didn't at that time trust Trump, he had too recently been supporting Democrats and buddying it up with the Clintons and other folks I despised. So for a little while I actually contemplated voting for Bernie (writing him in) because -- although I disagreed with nearly all of his positions -- I thought he was honest. Crazy, yes; wrong-headed, yes. But I could trust him to say what he meant and mean what he said.
You can work with somebody you disagree with, if they're honest.
That trust was shaken later when it appeared Bernie was bought off. And in fact I voted for Trump in the end. But that personal experience makes it possible for me to understand why Tulsi might back Bernie because some of what he says is okay, and he appeared sincere.
I have not heard whether she disavowed her support of Bernie; I'd have to research that a little.
I bet she does. I am not voting for her but I do like watching here take apart the Democrat machine.
Trust. But verify.
Always.
She just heard Willie Brown’s in town.
And it’s bad, bad
Willie Brown
Shut up Tulsi.
She is the one we want as the nominee.
OR Harris!!
