President Joe Biden’s Covid diagnosis on Wednesday afternoon could hardly have come at a more devastating time.
Not only did it cut short a two-day campaign swing in Nevada, but it threatens to deepen Democratic anxieties over — and resistance to — his reelection campaign, which has been teetering for nearly three weeks since his abysmal performance in his first debate with former President Donald Trump.
The news — first announced to a crowd of Hispanic activists awaiting his speech in Las Vegas and shortly thereafter confirmed by the White House — will surely deepen concerns about Biden’s age, health and stamina that have many Democrats calling for him to step aside as the party’s presidential nominee. Perhaps even more importantly, it could create a vacuum that privately skeptical Democrats, now feeling a heightened sense of urgency, may feel inclined to fill by amping up their pressure campaign.
“The timing of this could not possibly be worse,” said a Democrat briefed on internal White House discussions. “It reminds everybody how old Joe Biden is.”

Although deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty celebrated the post from his own account, other Biden allies, frustrated at the president’s struggles to get things back on track, privately grumbled that it was glib and unhelpful.

I personally don’t think that Biden has Covid. I think due to exhaustion his dementia had a spike and he cannot hold a conversation for a while.

This sure would be a convenient excuse for Biden to bow out, particularly since Pelosi is reportedly pressing him to do so now.
It’s the perfect excuse to go into hiding and ride out the storm.
Hang in there Joe. Lock in those delegates. Win that party nomination. Then drag your party into the dumpster fire of history in November.
The only thing remaining for Biden is to negotiate his exit package. He will agree due to “long COVID” not to accept the nomination, but to complete his term, pardon Hunter, and many others after the election and will receive a huge non refundable advance ( ~$100,000,000) for his memoirs financed by Democrat mega donors.

Covid?? Not a single member of Biden’s entourage,incl Biden, was wearing a mask. Not the driver, aides, advisers, medical tean, SS detail, USAF personnel. No one had a mask. Whatever is going on, it aint COVID, it’s Go Away!!

Pelosi wants Biden out. She had Adam Schiff call for his exit from the race. After the GOP’s scathing comments during their convention, Biden should crawl under a rock. His contributions have dried up. His COVID infection is the straw that broke the camel’s back.
