“So I was just showing Tucker some material from an unimpeachable source.” - Dan Bongino
====================================================================
In a recent statement, former Secret Service Agent and top podcast host Dan Bongino raised serious concerns about the absence of a police post at the location where a fatal shooting occurred during a Trump rally.
Bongino claims that the administration and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary instructed the Secret Service Director to keep quiet about the issue, suggesting a cover-up.
“So I was just showing Tucker some material from an unimpeachable source,” Bongino began. “According to my source, that roof was supposed to be a police post. Someone was supposed to be there. They’re now making up excuses saying the pitch of the roof was the reason, but my source says no one knows why the post didn’t show up. That’s a nonsense story they’re putting out in the media.”

"I was also told that the Secret Service Director has been given instructions from the Administration and the DHS Secretary that if you want to keep your job, you'll keep your mouth shut about this."
The pitch of the roof on the red barn sniper post behind the podium didn’t seem to be any problem at all in placing a kill shot on the wannabe assassin.

The pitch of the roof where the snipers were located appears to be a stepper angle than the one the shooter was on, her argument is patently absurd. She is clearly grasping at straws. Her testimony before congress, if she deigns to appear, will be the mother-of-all stonewalls (”I cannot comment on a current investigation; we have to let the facts play out”).
Normalcy bias. They can’t handle the thought that all is not as it seems.
I have a couple of sisters with that. One sister told me way back at the beginning of when I was figuring out the FBI was a sick joke that “If I believed what you do, I couldn’t go on.” Another sister knows it’s bad but can’t handle knowing any details, since she feels she can’t do anything about it anyway.
People who want to be able to just live their own lives reject anything that would throw their worldview out of whack.
I have to disagree.
When the head of SS comes on national television and says having a law enforcement person on top of the roof was too dangerous, that is a slam dunk for incompetence of a staggering degree.
Sabotaged communications would account for most of this list.
The idiot head of SS was given her orders—act even more stupid than normal to support the “oops” cover story.
Of course. How much would you wager she does not testify?
“no warning was given to Trump or the audience”

Completely unacceptable.
And totally suspicious.
Totally impossible without sabotaged communications.
Proof of a conspiracy.
She may not appear, but even if she does she won’t say much of anything revelatory.
Either way, it amounts to not really testifying.
This report fits with what James Comer and his committee said yesterday about DHS taking over all the attempted communications between them and the SS/Cheatle.
They actually sent a subpoena to Cheatle so that DHS couldn’t try to just refuse to let her appear for questioning.
It seems like her lies about the sloped roof yesterday made Mayorkas realize he’s got a sh!tstorm where people aren’t just buying all the changing stories and obvious lies.
Yesterday there were also changing stories about the LE in the building of interest being told not to go on the roof, versus them refusing to go on the roof because it was hot.
All these people need to be subpoenaed and questioned, and we need to come up with a list of questions in case Comer and his team would like some help.
We know that but cannot prove it.
Until malice can be proven, she has admitted to having a historic level of incompetence.
Therefore, run with incompetence.
Ah, the communications. Now you’re getting right to the heart of things. This should be a persistent line of questioning.
Unfortunately, the congress will just grandstand and pontificate instead of pursue the truth.
It doesn’t wash that the SS is blaming it on the local police because that building was supposed to be their responsibility. Yes, but it’s still the responsibility of the SS to SUPERVISE that security.
I’ve never been in charge of a security detail in my life, but I honestly think I could’ve done a better job if I had had the authority.
I know that fact, that she will say nothing, begs why not just appear and say nothing instead of being in contempt? Much easier to say nothing, that has little or no consequence of course.
How can Trump and his campaign possibly trust these people now to protect him?
Think about this, the closest rooftop to the president’s lectern is supposed to be covered by the local police. But that cop doesn’t show up. Does the SS just shrug and say “Damn, that sucks. I wish that guy would have shown up.” and move on? OF COURSE NOT. They dispatch someone to cover it. They do a CHECK before Trump ever makes it to the stage to verify that all points are covered.
He can't and should now clearly see that he has to bring in a team of trusted, seriously good people to essentially provide overwatch of the SS.

As someone said, Roscoe P. Coltrane could have done a better job.
