BREAKING: SAVE Act Passes House 221-198 – Almost Every Democrat Voted to ‘Protect’ the Ability of Illegals to Vote in Federal Elections

The SAVE Act – which requires proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections – passed the House 221-198 on Wednesday.

Nearly every Democrat lawmaker voted to protect the ability of illegals to vote in federal elections.

This is after Joe Biden flooded the US with more than 15 million illegal aliens.

The White House issued a statement on Monday, condemning a House Republicans’ bill requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.

show documentary proof of United States citizenship. Under current law, states can only require proof of citizenship to register to vote in local and state elections.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported on the Democrats’ opposition to the bill and Minority Whip Katherine Clark’s (D-Mass.) efforts urging House Democrats to “VOTE NO” on the bill this week. Clark dishonestly claimed the new law would “prevent Americans from registering to vote with their driver’s license alone” and would make a passport the “only acceptable standalone form of identification,” which is complete BS. The bill outlines five acceptable forms of identification to prove citizenship.

The bill is likely dead on arrival in the Senate and Joe Biden would veto the measure.

All “legal” means anymore is a piece of paper. So the dems just hand out the paper and like magic they’re legal.

It will not be brought up in the Senate.

So we pass legislation to what end? State that which the Constitution ALREADY states? God, we are so stupid.

It's politics. Every one knows what the Constitution says about voting and citizenship.

However, the "no" votes, which are essentially anti-Constitition, can be played up in campaigns and so on.

Not to worry, when Trump wins and the republicans win both the house and senate, they won’t even bother to bring this up for passage. Just like when they repealed Obama Care

As I understand it, it's already illegal for non-citizens to vote. Being registered doesn't make it legal for them to vote. But having non-citizen voters on the rolls does make it easier to cheat. Because you can have 105% of a voting district vote, but it looks like 90% because of the excess people on the voter rolls.

What this bill says, is:
1) that documentation of citizenship is required for all methods of registration. This would end the driver license registration of all drivers regardless of citizenship. And other overly loose registration drives.

2)It also requires states to develop a process to check citizenship and remove non-citizens from the voter rolls.

The problem I have with this legislation is 1) there are no penalties. Without penalties, "the code is really more like guidelines".

And it was brought when their was no chance of getting it through the Senate or by the President. Thus it could send a signal that illegals can vote. They can't legally, but it could democrats could wrongly interpret this bills failure as that.

Would it kill these “journalists” to tell us exactly which Dems voted for it? Otherwise, the article is pretty useless - we already knew how the vote turned out.

WORTH REPEATING!

Everyone who voted to allow illegals to vote in elections should get baseball batted until they are crippled.

This is not something over which there should be a debate. You vote for illegal aliens, you need to be physically beaten with a baseball bat.

This is a red line for the nation.

Are you sure you’re applying the term “we” properly?

The Save Act will now force swing state Senators, many of whom are up for reelection, to decide whether or not letting illegal aliens vote is popular policy

Trump is going to win big

Can they be “charged with a crime” from what the Constitution reads?

I’m being serious. I really don’t know the answer.

The word needs to be spread LOUD and CLEAR: If you vote and are illegal, you will be charged with a crime, lose all your benefits and deported at the end of your sentence! This bill will pass next year.

“Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, makes it unlawful for a non-citizen to vote in federal elections. Violation of this law can result in a fine, one year in prison, or both.”

.

How about tossing some rope into that little list.

No excuse for Republicans not making a big issue out of this. Ask the average Joe, and he’ll say he’s against giving noncitizens the right to vote.

The rope was implied. Sorry that you didn't catch the subtlety. 🤣

They can be charged by:

“Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, makes it unlawful for a non-citizen to vote in federal elections. Violation of this law can result in a fine, one year in prison, or both.”

Biden would be a special case because he swore to obey & protect the Constitution which clearly states it is illegal for a noncitizen to vote.

Not only did he violate his oath, he is actually subverting the Constitution. The same should hold true for the Senators & Congressmen/women who vote against the Safe Act, for they too have been administered the oath..

But I'm not a lawyer, so I am speaking without real legal knowledge, but rather what should be the legal consequences as I see it as a citizen.

Hopefully a legal scholar will give you the legal answer. 🙂👍

I would like to know myself.

You know, this constant introduction of bills, subpoenas, and resolutions guaranteed to fail is not accomplishing what the idiots doing it think it does.

“Owning the libs” isn’t an expression of power, it’s a confession of weakness.

If the Democrats take the House (probable) it will be because the GOP is a joke in a country that desperately needs a government.
