These major media outlets have called for Biden to drop out

Some of the country’s largest media outlets have called on President Biden to step aside and allow another Democrat to take on former President Trump in November, following the president’s concerning debate performance last week.

Biden’s first debate performance raised alarms among some Democrats and supporters, with the president struggling to string ideas together or rebut Trump’s many false statements. Almost half of Democrats in a new poll say Biden should allow a different candidate to take the party’s nomination.

Here are the major outlets that have called on Biden to drop out of the race.

The New York Times

The New Yorker

The Economist

Chicago Tribune

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Other newspapers weren’t as direct. Both The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal editorial boards said bowing out should be seriously considered by the president, though neither went as far as to explicitly recommend it.

They’ll change their tune as directed. As usual.

They are singing the tune right now, as they were directed to do. This whole debacle looks intentional. If not that, then their leadership is suffering from a massive attack of the "stupids", believing their own propaganda. How amusing.

IMO, this is the media factions pressing the Biden faction for major concessions and playing hardball. If they get what they want, they will go right back to telling us how brilliant Joe Biden has been as President and why we should be grateful to have him in office.

Gag me with a spoon!

Unless Biden expires prematurely from an overdose of the amphetamine cocktails they use to keep him propped up. Then they will need to deal with the hot mess created by Kamala Harris. Somehow that have got to blame that on President Donald Trump.

Maybe they can get Joe Biden to withdraw before the convention so they can put in their preferred replacement team for the election show. One way or another, I believe they will not run a Biden-Harris ticket in November.

I really thought Biden and his handlers would call off the debate. A “I’m not going to debate with a Felon” remark would be issued.

I bet they wish they had gone down that road, now.

President Trump should decline the second debate saying he does not want to participate in elder abuse and that dementia does not get better, only worse.

The Democrat Crime Families (Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, Clinton, etc…..) have absolutely no interest in governing this country.

They are in politics to steal money from the American Taxpayers.

If that thievery is in danger, then they will quietly slink away.

Can’t stop the constant conversation about it now.

From a subtle innuendo
To a gradual crescendo
Like the galloping of horses
On the course it gathers forces
Like a hammer stroke of thunder
Tearing giant oaks asunder
Flashing, crashing, little wonder
That it freezes to the bone.

Bursting out and overflowing
With a fury ever growing
Building up to an explosion
Like a storm upon the ocean
Like a tempest or tornado
Like a charging light brigade, oh.

(From Don Basilio’s aria in The Barber of Seville.)

It will be a constant campaign issue.

It was astonishing to me to see that CNN behaved themselves this time.

*************

I know what you’re saying. IMO even CNN has a floor on how low their ratings can go without, becoming a non factor in the media game.

Trump may have influenced this decision by forcing the RNC into a no more biased debates, which was the Republican position after 2020.

Trump shook that up when he said “Let’s do it, Brandon!”

“Strange Times.”

Neither party has nominated anyone.

That happens at the conventions.

There is nothing to “switch” or litigate.

OK

So Trump is going to lose after Biden’s historic debate debacle?

“I’ll take that bet.” (A low stakes bet, I’m not a gambler.)

Also, I’m not into hopium, whether Trump wins or loses this November won’t effect my emotional state one bit.

I’m 53 and have been following politics since Reagan was our President.

I’ve never seen anything like this fiasco. Its mind boggling.

Blood in the water. It is only a matter of time now. Next and at the same time should be for him to resign as president.

The proverb “when you strike at a king, you must kill him” is attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, but Emerson was expressing an idea that goes back at least to Machiavelli, who advises in The Prince that “men ought either to be well treated or crushed, because they can avenge themselves of lighter injuries, of more serious ones they cannot; therefore the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge.”

Quote:

When Omar says, “Come at the king, you best not miss,” he is essentially warning others that if they are going to challenge or target someone in a powerful position (the “king”), they need to be prepared and succeed in their attempt. In the world of the show, making a move against a powerful figure like a drug kingpin can have severe repercussions if it fails. The phrase underscores the idea that in such high-stakes situations, failure is not an option, as it can lead to dire consequences.
