Folks, it’s called a broadcast delay, kissing cousin to the dump button.
Not unusual in live TV.

Actually, yes I would expect them to tell the American people if there is any kind of delay during a “live” broadcast.
CNN said it's not true, so there's that.

Who’s a ‘stronger candidate’?
I can’t think of one that Trump would be afraid of.
A 5-7 second delay yes. A two minute one is unexceptable.
Trump said he accepted this debate before they even announced the terms so they couldn’t say, “He refused to debate Joe!” It was also so he could pressure the Biden Campaign into keeping its word on going through with it, along with preventing himself from being painted negatively for refusing a debate.
Fox quoted him last night when I walked in the door from work, and that was the jist of it.
Yes, please believe that if CNN says it, it must be true. They have never lied to the American people.
I have a friend who actually thinks that the news people can’t tell us things that aren’t true. She’s a total ditz. Even after Dan Rather. And she’s old enough to know better.
To be honest with you, anyone who's not Joe Biden (except for Hillary Clinton - she was a disaster).
But Trump will be there. And there will be other witnesses. I am sure someone from the Trump Team will be secretly recording this. If Trump makes the acccusation and it turns out to be a lie, Biden will win the election. But if Trump can prove it, CNN will have breathed it’s last breath.
I’m more than a little skeptical about this story.
My guess is that that he’s already fitted with a modified remote control insulin pump that can inject a variety of meds on demand.
As a former President, Trump must be fully aware of the available "Q-Branch" gismos that he can use to livestream the "debate" and cut off all wireless/bluetooth signals to Biden's ear piece. Real world James Bond stuff.
You don’t have to boycott it, They will say that Trump has no following.

I’m not boycotting it, I’m simply not going to watch it.
Plenty of Trump supporters won’t be watching it for one reason or another.
I know someone like that.
A while back there was a particular news story that was a blatant lie that they spouted.
I politely and calmly proved to them it was a lie using other sources they trusted to take apart the lie brick by brick.
When I was done their face just turned bright red and it looked like their head was about to explode.

I’ve sat through broadcasts with longer than seven seconds.
But Deep State can and will do whatever the heck it wants.
Trump is aware of this.
And I’m very sure he has a plan, too.
I refuse to watch CNN or a CNN feed.
I could care less what “they” say.
“They” can go pound sand.
