Fox News Poll: Three-point shift in Biden-Trump matchup since May
Fox News ^ | June 19, 2024 | Dana Blanton

Posted on 06/20/2024 9:05:03 AM PDT by lasereye

President Biden is the frontrunner in a hypothetical matchup against former President Trump for the first time since October, as positive views of the economy inch up — hitting their highest level thus far in the Biden presidency, according to a new Fox News national survey.

Since May, there was a 3-point change in the presidential race. Trump was ahead by 1 point last month, while Biden is up by 2 points today: 50%-48%. That’s well within the margin of error.

Beyond improved evaluations of the economy, a range of other events since the May survey could influence small shifts in vote preference, including Trump’s hush money conviction, Hunter Biden’s gun trial conviction, a positive U.S. jobs report and Biden’s immigration executive order.

Biden’s current 50% support is his best this election cycle; he hasn’t been ahead of Trump since October 2023 and that was by just 1 point (49%-48%).

There was also a 4-point shift in the expanded ballot. When other potential candidates are included, Biden tops Trump by 1 point (43%-42%), Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. receives 10% and Cornel West and Jill Stein get 2% each. Last month, Trump was ahead of Biden by 3 points (43%-40%).

--snip Voters trust Trump on two of the top five issues: immigration (by 9 points) and the economy (+5). However, those are narrower advantages than he enjoyed in May (+15 immigration and +13 economy). He’s also preferred on handling the Israel-Hamas war (+4). More trust Biden to do a better job on health care (+10) and the future of American democracy (+6), while his biggest advantages are on the somewhat lesser priorities of abortion (+13) and climate change (+20).

--snip "we saw notable erosion of Trump’s advantage on the economy and immigration" [says Anderson]

...Democrats pass a new bill that changes 70 year-old law, and prevents the Board of Canvassers from investigating election fraud...

Michigan state Senator Jim Runestad is furious today after Democrats pass a new bill that changes 70 year-old law, and prevents the Board of Canvassers from investigating election fraud

Above is a perfect example, dems/uniparty plan to steal this election again.  Just when we think a civil war won't happen stuff like this pops up.  The crooked mess is a lot bigger and wider than we think.

OOOHhhhhh! A POLL!

Is this one an infallible oracle of all truth, or just manipulated, manipulative fake news?

Backfire --

This push poll could be rather good news. It could be just enough for the Dims to keep Biden as their candidate; someone who is a far weaker choice than the younger, more alert Whitmer, Pritzker, or Newsome.

3-point margin of error in this poll - and the margin of error is always understated.

Staying with your analogy, way too many coaches try to get a little too smart in that situation. It’s the reverse of when they continue to try to hammer the square peg into the round hole.

Faux News.
I still remember when I sent an email to Faux.
I said: “We already have PMSNBC...we don’t need another one.”

No kidding. Just stick with brute force until they make you change!

Back in the Sixties, I was never a Packers fan, but I always appreciated that about the Green Bay Packers under Vince Lombardi. They would run the Packer Sweep over and over again until their opponent would throw everything into stopping it, then they would change it up...

They didn’t get cute about it, either.

“ Hillary’s polling was always ahead in the Trump matchup”

And the polls were very close in predicting the popular vote, which Hilary won by 2%.

outlier polls happen, but even this is within the margin of error or previous polls.

Everyone calm down.

Just focus on Pennsylvania, if Trump wins that it is OVER.

Very Predictable – In Advance of Trump/Biden Debate, Fox News Manufactures Specific Polling

June 20, 2024 | Sundance | 228 Comments

Most of the time Fox News builds in plausible deniability; however, this time the notorious Fox News pollster Daron Shaw has gone full bananas on behalf of those who pay him to create polling narratives.

Daron Shaw should be well known to CTH readers {Go Deep}.

Shaw has been the Fox News poll manipulator and narrative engineer for over a decade. Knowing the Trump v Biden debate was coming, we knew Fox News would arrange some anti-Trumpism media narrative to capitalize on the predictable corporate theme. However, to see the Fox team make Threats To Democracy the #1 concern of voters, is just a talking point too far.

Fox News creating/promoting the “Trump is a Danger to Democracy” narrative via polling, is as predictable as Megyn Kelly and her 2015 “Trump is a sexist” debate narrative. Keep in mind, in order to see the strings on the marionettes you first have to stop pretending the performance is real life. Far too many people are comfortable pretending.

FOX NEWS – […] “The underlying demographic tendencies that have defined the race remain in place,” says Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who conducts Fox News surveys with Democrat Chris Anderson. “Biden has improved slightly with women and seniors, which keeps him afloat despite significant reductions from 2020 in support from younger voters and African Americans.” […] The top two issues to voters are the future of American democracy and the economy. Next, stability and normalcy, followed by immigration and health care. Nearly half say abortion and guns will be extremely important to their vote, while closer to one-third feel that way about standing up to elite interests, climate change, and the Israel-Hamas war.  (read more

Funnily enough, President Trump can see exactly what they are doing.
