A few things that President Trump with a Republican House and Senate can do to immediately stop the downward spiral:
Fire all the Democrat lawyers and activists you possibly can from government perches.
Cut the government, cut the spending, for the first time ever.
Slash the income tax for personal and business. Again. Make it permanent this time.
Drill, baby, drill! Achieve energy independence again. Become a net exporter again.
Secure the border. again. Deport all the illegals that can be deported. Then deport some more.
Reapply the tariffs. Again.
Get us out of foreign wars. Again.
Tell the UN, nafta and other world government bodies to pound sand. Again.
Amen, death to globalism!
If they can pull of a complete end to the income tax and go back to funding by tariffs only it would be a major step forward. People living in states with income tax would notice and perhaps start demanding change there too.
As a starter, even without Congress, Trump can issue blanket federal tax pardons so that no person or corporation gets in legal trouble for not filing their taxes. Do it for 1 year, see what happens. Do it again the next year. See what happens.
President Trump 2024/47 or bust!
“You cannot tell from appearances how things will go. Sometimes imagination makes things out far worse than they are; yet without imagination not much can be done. Those people who are imaginative see many more dangers than perhaps exist, certainly many more than will happen; but then they must also pray to be given that extra courage to carry this far-reaching imagination. But for everyone, surely, what we have gone through in this period — I am addressing myself to the School — surely from this period of ten months this is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never — in nothing, great or small, large or petty — never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
- Winston Churchill........
Let’s give them another dose of Donald Trump
Yep. Repeal the 16th and 17th amendments. Gut the unconstitutional federal government. Tariffs and excise taxes should be able to fund the rest.
No matter how you feel about the candidates, we must support Trump and give him a GOP Congress.
This is our last shot before the shooting starts.
I would ask anyone who says they’re voting for Biden to name even one aspect of American life that is better because of him or his policies. I can’t think of any.
Even those he caters to like the LGTBQueers, climate alarmists, anti-Israeli and Trump haters don’t seem to be happy - they’re always complaining or protesting.
The only people who seem to be smiling are those one the right who are optimistic that Trump can become President again and turn things around.
I’ve said for years that if Trump ran on one issue only: “$2/gal gas” - he could win.
Dittos
Absolutely we need to vote republican/conservative.
By the grace of God, it can be reversed, but I fear that it will only prolong the inevitable. But we can’t not try because if the dems maintain power (not win because when you cheat it’s not winning) they’ll have four years of free reign to finish their job and destroy our country.
I suspect that the only thing holding them back is the election. Once that’s over, either way we’re in for a rough ride because they won’t take a Trump win lying down.
Sadly, for us, its a lose/lose situation.
That is an awesome list.
Great job!
Now is the time to be optimistic and planning for the future.
Pres Trump is now a 5/8 fav to win-his lowest odds yet.
GOP is a big 1/3 fav to win the Senate.
GOP retaining House control is close.
This is the most anti-business admin in US history.
It should be easy to get the economy rolling again.
It is our greatest weapon and will instantly restore some degree of normalcy to the nation and the world.
Defunding entire agencies and reducing the federal workforce. Start at 10 percent. You could ratchet it up to at least 30% in subsequent years.
Defund all but one intelligence agency - and take full control of staffing the one that remains. Stop all activity of this one remaining agency within the United States. Defund and eliminate the FBI. Replace it with a different internal police agency under direct control off the President with close oversight of Congress. The New Agency Director is appointed only for a 4 year maximum term at the pleasure of the President.
Indeed they should be repealed. The 17th Amendment just gave power to the parties, who sell it to the highest bidder and divide the country on wedge issues instead of unity issues. Repeal is a high hurdle to jump though. So start with something simple. Force their hand. If Congress won’t at least amend the tax code; force them to do it by issuing blanket pardons. If he can pull it by neutering any enforcement action for four years it will be hard for the next POTUS to revert back and perhaps Congress will ultimately amend the law within those four years. Then move on to repeal after the people see what it does for them.
Well said.
I agree. Donald Trump and the GOP are not perfect, but they’re both a lot better than the alternative.
At $36T debt, and $1.8T in deficit, none of this can happen.
Winning the Senate does nothing other than get headlines you might like to read. Winning the Senate will not be 60+ votes so all things can be obstructed.
And should be. At $36T debt (and by then $1T in interest each year) one should not be getting things done. One should be explicitly not getting things done.
As for dismissing lawyers, it is customary to get the resignation of US Attorneys in the week of Inauguration. As for the rest of the gov’t, they all have Federal Employee protections and cannot be fired.
You and FR are prime targets for the Swamp, and there will be Swamp Assisting Republicans, too.
Godspeed.
We need a Javier Milei
Prohibit immigration from muzzie countries.
Deport foreign muzzies and shut down mosques that promote violence.
The 1st Amendment isn’t a suicide pact.
