Morgan Freeman Explains Why He ‘Detests’ Black History Month: ‘My History Is American History’

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has turned on Black History Month and declared he “detests it.”

The Hollywood star known for his roles in The Shawshank Redemption and The Dark Knight trilogy made plain his antipathy in an interview, critically appraising the annual event that takes place every February across the country.

Freeman told Variety in an exchange with journalist Marta Balaga the very idea makes his “teeth itch” and he prefers the broader sweep of the entire arc of American history:

I detest it. The mere idea of it. You are going to give me the shortest month in a year? And you are going to celebrate ‘my’ history?! This whole idea makes my teeth itch. It’s not right.

It’s the one thing in this world I am interested in, beyond making money, having a good time and getting enough sleep.

He’s right about this, but I’m sure he’s probably willing to align himself with the radical race hustlers that demand to be treated differently, thus the creation of Black History Month. Reparations, quotas, First Black this and First Black that. Whether it’s schools, beauty pageants, movies and TV shows, Awards shows, every element of our culture has been made aware of the separate attention and accommodations that need to be made to blacks. Is Freeman speaking out against all those, as well?

One of the explanations behind Morgan Freeman’s high-level popularity is his pro-America, common sense outlook on life.

Despite this bit of common sense, he’s a democrat, a supporter of race-rioters, and a supporter of Hillary Clinton.

Quality is built in, not added on.

There may have been a time it was necessary to spotlight “black history,” because of white-washing, both in the sense of excluding blacks and in the sense of excluding the bad or even the problematic. But, that time is past. Today, all of what is good and all of what is bad about our history is our history, just as all of what is white and all of what is non-white.

My wife loved the movie “Harriet” about Harriet Tubman, esp. as the movie showed her to be the strong Christian woman that she was.

The mass media and Hollywood coverage of “black heros” and “heroines” has become heavily propagandized.

I would not believe a word of it unless I carefully researched all of it from original sources.

The NASA “hidden figures” mythos is a pack of lies, exaggerations and pure fiction—and some folks around here have fallen for it.

That was a great movie. I saw the 54th memorial in Boston last year, it was a lot larger than I thought it would be. I was surprised it was still there as I would think the domestic enemies would have demanded it's removal being that a white man is sitting on a horse higher than black men, and the RINOpublicans would have cowered and immediately acquiescenced "Yes, immediately sir, p-p-please d-d-don't call us racist!" but amazingly it was still there.

One of the funniest news clip that you’ll ever see is Morgan Freeman talking to Mike Wallace about Black History Month. Wallace arrogantly assumes that Freeman is for it, and is shocked when he says he isn’t. Freeman then asks Wallace if he wants a White History Month for his people and Wallace sputters that he is Jewish (as if that isn’t white). Then Freeman asks if he wants a Jewish History Month and Wallace says “no” in horror at the thought. Comedy gold.

If anyone thinks his comments mean he's not anti-white, they're not reading closely. American history is replete with terrible racial abuses against Blacks, and this is the "American history" he's referring to. He won't be voting for Trump.
