Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) said Sunday on MSNBC’s “Inside” that former President Donald Trump did not love America.
Host Jen Psaki said, “I’m sure you are aware of the controversy that broke out over some comments that Trump made about Milwaukee, which is hosting the Republican convention coming up later this summer. He reportedly called Milwaukee a horrible city. He called Washington a filthy and crime-ridden embarrassment. He has called Chicago worse than Afghanistan. He once called Baltimore a disgusting rat and rodent infested mess. These are America’s cities. what do you make of his comments, and what is driving it?”

Strange how nobody at the meeting in question never remembers Trump saying such a thing.
As I just said, they know how to PLAY OFFENSE. Our side is next to hopeless in doing the same.
Something equivalent to what Booker said would be a Republican Senator saying that “Democrats HATE Black Families” and then back it up by pointing out how welfare has destroyed the black family.
I still remember from 2000, on ABC’s This Week (the Sunday show), when gun control was on a roll (after several mass shootings) and it looked like the Second Amendment was finished in all but name. On that show Wayne LaPierre, of the NRA, said that “President Clinton needs a certain level of violence (to get his gun control bills passed)” Cookie Roberts STAMMERED in shock, but LaPierre provided FACTS, specifically Clinton ending Project Exile - where FEDERAL prosecutors were sending thugs to jail because the ‘diverse’ local authorities were not. After that show, gun control became a non-issue in 2000. THAT WAS OFFENSE.
Thought they hated America, so are they voting for Trump?
Trump does see America’s cities for what they are. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t good people there or that the cities can’t change and improve. Notice how Trump is getting a positive reception in places like the Bronx and Detroit.

They made up a story then made it their lead story and talking point for the week.
