I’m against this.
I like options. I wish more resorts had pools with the same age restrictions.
Heck, Mahomes and that “Little Network Attached Storage the Tenth” have enough dough to buy their own Jamaican Chefs and keep them on call.
It is a big world, and one place with such a rule is not an issue. Now, how about one with no men under 35 and no women over 35? (Ducking object thrown by wife)
I find this funny, but I’m way way over 35. Fancy way of saying “we have the right to refuse service”, but this is age discrimination, only in reverse.
It’s safer, that’s for sure.
The same people that said social media platforms are private businesses and can ban anyone they want now take offense at a private business banning anyone they want.
Nice unwritten way to exclude young black gun wielding patrons with low impulse control, who just can’t help but shoot up the place when they feel dissed. Such a rule has the effect of keeping out some otherwise desirable patrons, but it’s one way of avoiding trouble makers.
I do believe that people should be able to socialize with those they prefer.
That said It was interesting to walk through a Florida country club 30 years ago with 2 of my adopted biracial black children on our way to a wedding.
In retrospect I guess I would not want to be anywhere I am not wanted.
I don't believe in discriminating on age issues because mostly its aimed only at children, our future....but people seem to be okay with keeping children out while letting the old farting grandmas and dribbling grandpas anywhere they want to go like on planes...
so the restaurant can do whatever they want but I would never give them my business...
A sexy atmosphere is not what I think of when contemplating fine dining.

Jamaican and African dishes.
I’m hungry now.
Being in Missouri, this rule also probably decreases the smell of pot in his business.
His business, his rules. If the rules are bad, he will go out of business. That is what the idea of capitalism is supposed to be about.
I think I’ll run over to MO just to patronize that restaurant. Great idea.
I object to discriminating against people because of an immutable characteristic which has placed them in an artificial group.
I’m ok with kicking people out of a restaurant for unruly behavior.
Don’t punish the innocent.
I would like to see a return to segregation.
