BREAKING: NY Judge Merchan Informs Lawyers of ‘My Cousin is a Juror, Trump is Getting Convicted’ Facebook Post Left on NY Court Page, Pre-Verdict.
In a new development in Trump’s Manhattan “hush money” case, Justice Merchan has communicated to the involved parties about an incident involving a comment left on the court system’s Facebook page. The comment, left on May 29, one day prior to Trump’s conviction, reads: “My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted 🎉 Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!! ❤️”
The fact that the judge has written to the involved parties may indicate truth to the inside knowledge of the poster. The letter from Justice Merchan reads, in full:
Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention. In the comment, the user, “Michael Anderson,” states:
The comment was no longer visible when checked by The National Pulse.
Theoretically, if the comment is found to be true and a juror was discussing the verdict of the case with their cousin, Justice Merchan could rule a mistrial. Given his record of rulings against Trump and his daughter’s financial stake in the case, this is unlikely.
Bet MATTHEW COLANGELO was still on the DOJ payroll and just took a temporary leave. This needs to be checked.

Not sequestered because the good judge wanted the jurors to get some influence from rabidly Democrat neighbors and interlopers.

It's not that they just don't care....they DO care. This is the intended outcome, and they plan to keep it that way.
The only realistic chance this travesty of "justice" is overturned, is for the SCOTUS to do so...and soon.
There are orders of magnitude of rot out there in our country, and it's accelerating by the day.
More than enough to clean up for many years to come.
If the juror told the cousin that "Trump is getting convicted", it might be bigger than a single juror discussing w cousin.
Much bigger.
Why?
Because if the juror knew that Trump was going to be convicted, would that not mean that the entire jury had been discussing the case among themselves?
Charges should never have been brought. There was no crime!

Now that it looks like the FL and GA cases are going nowhere fast, having Trump (re)appear in NYC for a "redo" of this shame of a trial might just be a game plan to keep Trump from campaigning all summer long and into the fall.
And then only to find him "guilty" yet again.
Yeah, this jurist should have been removed, and an alternate sure thing ringer put in its place.

I can see some juror running their mouth in such an important case and the idiot cousin trying to show off using no brains at all. But is has to be taken seriously regardless and in a normal situation this is a mistrial.
This why they should have been sequestered from the git go.

The quotes around “Support” are mine. Why would it use this word if he were hired. I bet that Colangelo was still on the DOJ payroll and was on loan to the NY offices.

Manhattan votes 90 percent Democrat, Trump had ZERO chance of getting an impartial jury regardless of what this person said, if real or not..that is why there should have been a change of venue. You have a jury of 6 Dems and 6 Republicans, that is how you get a fair jury
Can Congress possibly subpoena this guy?
Of course Judge Merchan should have brought it to the attention of the attorneys immediately. After which a mistrial should have been declared.
At the minimum the jury should have been polled to try to locate the guilty juror, but even that wouldn’t have been enough to cure the possible violation of their sworn oath. Even if all jurors assured the court that they had not discussed the case with anyone, do you really think the juror would admit to the violation?
The alternative scenario is the Democrats are just now realizing how badly they screwed up so are looking for an “out” and this excuse would take the blame off them and put it on a “rogue” juror (who shall never be named).
I hope that the Democrats realized how bad this whole case makes them look and how it makes Trumps stronger so they are trying to “uncross the Rubicon”. Mistrial is the best, most face saving way to do it.
