Former President Donald Trump's guilty verdict on all 34 counts in his hush-money trial appears to have a majority of independents and "double haters," those who have an unfavorable view of both Trump and President Joe Biden, feeling that the former president should end his bid for the White House, according to a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll -- a number that could have a ripple effect on the election in November.
Among independents, 52% said they believed Trump should end his 2024 presidential campaign and within the even more specified group of "double haters," 67% said they felt the same way, according to the ABC News/Ipsos poll published on Sunday. The poll was conducted using Ipsos' KnowledgePanel.

“double haters” ... you don’t have to be a hater to see the flaws in each of this year’s major party candidates. In this election, as in each of the prior two, the deciding votes will be cast by people who hold an unfavorable opinion of both.
Over the years, GOP voters reliably poll as the most informed, then come the Dems—and the “independents/unenrolled” consistently pull up the rear.
In short, they’re clueless despite often being smug about their lack of position.
Right now, there are likely a significant cohort of low-information type people who simply heard that Trump was convicted of three dozen felonies and assume that he actually did something wrong. Their number has only one direction to go: *downward*. Over time, it’s likely that some of them will find out what an absurd sham the trial was. Conversely, no one who thinks this verdict is a joke is going to change their mind. No one only is going to dive into the details of this case and say, “Oh, I thought there was nothing to it, but started looking into the details and Trump is guilty as hell.” No, that won’t happen, as there’s “no there there.”
The left needed the conviction as cover for their election theft. Now they can cheat and point to the NY case for the reason for Trump’s loss in November.
The media panels can bring on the concerned GOP consultant on November 6th who can say “Jake, of course Republicans weren’t going to vote for a CONVICTED FELON! We are better than that”. They’ll then put the polls on the screen and point to this week as the week Trump polling numbers started dropping.
Then, panel members can return to the green room after the show and high five each other for their part in the “take down” of Trump.
We are being played again. Big time!
Fox was reporting last night support from Independents for Trump has gone up since the conviction.
I suspect if these pollsters asked if their support for Biden went down after they saw video of him sniffing girls under the age of 10 - and pinching one of the young girls nipples pollsters would find a startling drop in support among ‘independents’. But for some strange reason, pollsters don’t ask those kinds of questions about democrats.
Maybe the pollsters should ask if people’s feelings about the democrat party have changed for the worse after it’s been shown that rather than compete on ideas, democrat prefer to arrest their opponents. In short to ‘rig the game’. I’m betting lots of people have lost respect for demcorats over this latest trick.
I’m extremely skeptical of this poll’s accuracy. Let’s see what other more reputable polls have to say about it.

they still haven’t figured out that these tactics are disgusting and alienating millions and millions of voters to skip voting D in 2024 — many are coming out to positively supporting Pres. Trump, too
