Im pretty sure if I tell my PCP we’re nixing Eliquis also she’ll chase me out of the clinic with a stick

But I’m taking OTC blood thinner/ pain killers : Motrin & Excedrin generic. Eliquis is a very pricy drug. But insurance covers it

I really miss having pups! I’d take two couple hour hikes with them it’s days so they could run n burn off energy! My back issues have left rugged hikes totally impossible at this point.

I’m now with my son. Busy road. Two cats . His Miss Kitty and Luvie the stray that adopted us in Oct.

Do you have any recordings of your playing? I think that would be wonderful to have.

The time with the talented soprano really must have been fun.

I only have had a small number of friends that were musicians.

Looking back I wish now I had played an instrument and participated in marching band and concert band. Those students really enjoyed their high school experience. At HS reunions they were solid people and many still played on occasions with community bands and small group jazz or other preforming or entertaining bands

Instead of music lessons I had dance lessons. That ate up a sizable amount of my extra time

>>>> S/B Guiliani, not Guiliano in last post. Duh.

Then there’s always Galliano to consider 😊

None. If I did, I'd be ashamed of them now. My understanding of making music has grown exponentially over the past 60 years.

The time with the talented soprano really must have been fun.

It was the first time I ever accompanied anyone. I asked her how quickly to play something, she sang a bar or two sotto voce, and I took it from there. I quickly learned that you have to breathe with your singer.

Incidentally, the lady became a TV star in Portland during the 1980s and then shifted to writing a thrice weekly column for the Portland Oregonian. When the newspaper's business model changed due to the Internet, they bought out her retirement benefits, and she retired a millionaire. She does the occasional improv and acts in local theater. Her daughter inherited her singing voice and is doing quite well as a vocalist.

Instead of music lessons I had dance lessons.

I can only dance the Uncoordinated Freestyle when I'm drunk.

We call our Big Dog ‘Butch’ because he’s the meanest.

We call our new Puppy ‘Liberace’ because he’s the pee-inist!

:)

I love buying books anyway but right now I’m buying more than I can possibly read, Better World Books has some great prices and even better coupons. I figure I need all these books if we have an EMP.

So it’s part of prepping, right?

Pulling this from old thread so I can comment. :)

I bought books all my life, never went anywhere without a book under my arm. 3 bookshelves in the house full of books, till about 5 years ago when I started getting rid of lots of things in the house, books included. (mostly gave lots of books to the senior center in my town).

I still have lots of my most fave books, but when I bought my first smart phone, I started playing games on it, in place of reading. I also play games on computer. So I just got outta the habit of reading books. but yes, when SHTF and we are back to stone age, I could start reading again to take up time, if my vision holds out. lol
