Former MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan slammed the Biden administration on Wednesday over the news that the $320 million pier the U.S. built to transport aid into Gaza had fallen apart after only a few days.
"Let's be clear: if this had happened on Trump's watch, we would all be mocking and denouncing him," Hasan wrote on X. "It's super-embarrassing that it happened on Biden's watch and the fact that it did shouldn't prevent us from saying: what a bloody s--tshow."

Since Biden has done such an extraordinarily effective job of wrapping up the DemonRat nomination and excluding any other potential candidates from what would have been a normal nomination process, and the terrible erosion Biden's reputation and entire person have undergone, it strikes me that there is a good risk that some Democrat is going to add a bit of extra happy juice to wat he gets shot up with, causing a "tragic demise."

First and foremost there would be no pier under a Trump admin to sink. He never would have done this at all.
I don’t think ABC World News Tonight with David Muir even mentioned anything about the pier falling apart. CBS Evening News said part of the pier tore apart from the rest but CBS didn’t reveal how long it will take to put the pier back together. I believe CBS wanted to report the incident but downplayed that it is a big setback for providing aid to Gaza.

This reminds me of the break water they built during WWII after the Normandy Invasion.
Both Britain and the US Built them at the same time using the same materials. The British docks lasted much longer but took twice as long to build whereas the American Docs only used half as much connection hardware to get them set up in one day.

From what I have read the American docks were no anchored well enough. When storms wrecked them, the Americans wrote them off and landed stuff directly on the beach using landing craft.
