SeaBees and Brits towed the Mulberriries across the Channel, placed and anchored them under fire from Kraut shore batteries. They were used to unload supplies for 100000+ troops. The Brit Mulberry survived while the Omaha one succumbed to the worst Channel storm in memory on June 19. I guess we aren’t the same people who came up Omaha Beach 80 years ago.
