The politician who tops the list of preferred running mates for former President Donald Trump in a new poll in a key northeastern swing state is not even a Republican.
Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who ran for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination but left her party two years later to become an independent, stands atop the list in a new University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll
Gabbard stood seven points ahead of multi-millionaire biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who was one of roughly a dozen candidates who unsuccessfully challenged Trump for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

Tulsi has been making rounds within the Republican orbits for several years. She is semi-sane, the way most Dems used to be until Barack. That said, some Republicans will never trust her, mostly because she still choses to belong to the Party of Loons, Goons and Uncivil Baboons.

Personally, I think well of her in some respects but Trump doesn5 need another Judas, and that’s EXACTLY what she would end up being, whether she means to or not. Kristi Noem used to b3 on my short list in opinion but she handled the whole story of killing her dog quite poorly.

Not sure. If Tulsi did leave, it would only be to a neutral holding station like The Green Party or more likely, The Independents. IOW, electoral Purgatory or limbo.
