And at 9:30ish it is still blue skies and sunshine out my front window.

Ya might check the ones that get close enough. They are rare, but they are part of that brood.

The “regular” ones are probably keeping a low profile. Maybe they’ll get more vocal when these noisy critters die out. I don’t even know the lifetime of a cicada. Just hope it’s short. :D

A lot of the clouds have moved out and it’s really pretty now, especially the way the sun’s hitting the snow-capped mountains.

Our clouds moved out after it got dark. They’ll be back before sunrise though.

A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Beach for this morning's thread.

All is well here at E.G.C. world. We once again had another round of severe weather last evening. The storm alarm went off numerous times and we had some more of that thunder and lightning and well,((LOL)) Gizmo went under the bed again.

Yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park:

How's everyone doing this morning?

It was a pretty dull day here, weather-wise. It rained pretty much everywhere BUT here but it was mostly cloudy all day. The good thing was being able to get the yard at the old house mowed so now everything’s caught up.
Tomorrow’s rain/storm chances are higher than today’s but Sunday is the day they say could be rough.

You DID get some rain last night? Great! It would have been nice if there was more but every little bit counts.
Do you “ooo” and “aaah” when you look out at your freshly-coiffed yard? :-)

All I’ve seen so far have had red eye. They were up close and personal with me today. LOL

The annuals are around but they don’t seem to fly around as much as this huge brood does. They were flying all over at the old house this afternoon, from tree to tree - - and some to me. LOL

They say the big brood should start dying off the end of next month. The annuals are around a little longer.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

I was checking the radar periodically tonight and you got lucky. The nastiest of the storms stayed north of you. But that didn’t help poor Gizmo since you still got some lightning and thunder. At least it’s all over ..... for now.

Looks like Gizmo gave you a run for the money yesterday. LOL

There ya go with another critter collection. Thankfully, these won’t need food or vet bills. YOU enjoy them. I’m enjoying silence. Except for the local dogs of course. Stupid yapping things. Why don’t their hoomans train them better?

It’s a very nice 75 degrees outside. Peaches and Ginger both have been out for quite a while. Let them enjoy the night air before it’s overheated. ๐Ÿ˜ธ

I do enjoy them. If it was cool enough outside, I’d open windows so I could hear them while in the house. A little too warm for that though.

I’m so glad I don’t have anyone living close by with yapping dogs. Every once in a while if I’m outside at night, a dog or two can be heard way off in the distance. It would drive me up the walls if I had that going on close by.
All I have are the bugs and frogs and I enjoy those sounds. Just have to sit outside to enjoy them.

It wasn’t very hot today due to clouds and rain in the general area. It was windy, too, but that died down before I finished mowing. It’s 70 outside now. Very nice night.

Yeah, let Peaches and Ginger enjoy the night while they can. It won’t be long before they’ll prefer to stay in, in the AC.

Good morning, E...((HUGS))...poor Gizmo. At least he has a bed to go under and feel relatively safe. And he knows you are there as well.

But it looks like he had a grand time at Chisolm Trail Park.

You guys enjoy your Friday adventure. And Stay Safe!

Yep, that’s them already during the daytime. Sprawled in any location in the house that has the AC blowing directly on them. Man. I miss being covered up to sleep. I do better that way.

And now...I need to give it a shot. I barely slept last night. Hoping tonight will be better. Hope you and the kitties sleep well too. See ya tomorrow for some fun tunes. *yaaaaaaawn*

Good morning Red Badger ((HUGS))

Thanks for the suggestion. Fatima does the Favorite Song thread which will be next week. I’ve included her here so she can plan that.

Good morning Canteen vamp ((HUGS))

I was so tired I couldn’t hang around very long, last night.
Most of the nasty weather has missed us so far; just getting plenty of rain.

Anything special planned for the museum this weekend?

Stay safe.

Good morning and good night Ma ((HUGS))

They’re planning settlement in the middle of June. Not a lot of time to do all that needs to be done but the movers have been scheduled.

Hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend.

I was hoping for that 10 more minutes at 0245 today. A nap in my future.

Too cool that is fell into place so fast, but now you REALLY have to knuckle down and pack, etc.
