Ya might check the ones that get close enough. They are rare, but they are part of that brood.

The “regular” ones are probably keeping a low profile. Maybe they’ll get more vocal when these noisy critters die out. I don’t even know the lifetime of a cicada. Just hope it’s short. :D

All I’ve seen so far have had red eye. They were up close and personal with me today. LOL

The annuals are around but they don’t seem to fly around as much as this huge brood does. They were flying all over at the old house this afternoon, from tree to tree - - and some to me. LOL

They say the big brood should start dying off the end of next month. The annuals are around a little longer.
